Good banter all night, one or two obviously forgot there were kids watching before 9pm, shame we didn't get some proper tales about Rahic, McMahon should have stuck his head down the bog and flush the chain when he had Rahic in a head lock ;), it was already on when I posted the link, but made a nice change.

A difficult one Boris has to try and get people back to work in some sort of organised way but not at the expense of going back into lock down if the virus spikes again over hear, the guy can't win.

It’s impossible in London everybody travels by bus and underground. They need to stagger work times and have Marshall’s controlling numbers using the bus and train. Because your right we will be back where we started

Northern blue nose! Maggie posters all over your bedroom.

Of course he could win but wants to please everyone.

Get masks for people for free on public transport , make sure hand gel is available at stops. Make sure this trace and trace really work. Heat temperature check for people entering the station and things what @Park bantam@Park bantam said.

Wait a few weeks before letting estate agents open. Sack Hancock!

You are right most companies are aware of the 2m rule and hand washing advice but more comprehensive knowledge is sadly unavailable
Am not suggesting the government do an "Edin" and micro manage industries just make information more accessible they produce Hazard/ HSE posters so why not advice on Coronavirus
Produce risk and management packs make employees aware of their rights etc etc
Am not having a go at the government but there is more they can do to keep the workers safe which should all have been done before releasing people back in to the working environment

    They're all there.

    https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-employers-and-businesses-about-covid-19/guidance-for-employers-and-businesses-on-coronavirus-covid-19

There's loads of advice and resource for businesses. Common sense and individual knowledge of the business situation is still the most valuable resource though I would say.

If they play or not the footballers and managers are still getting paid wages currently so tax won’t have changed much in that way

The problem is we don’t have the facility or capability or seemingly want to “monitor it carefully”. That’s our problem and the governments problem which we seem to get further away from sorting. It’s ok saying go back but the daily infections rate is still very high and will no doubt get higher in the next few weeks if this virus is still out there

Six clubs are determined to finish the League One season by completing their remaining fixtures, says Peterborough chairman Darragh MacAnthony.

MacAnthony released a statement on behalf of Posh, Oxford, Sunderland, Fleetwood, Portsmouth and Ipswich.

    * season in div 1 & 2 might not be over after all.

    No, it wasn't!

Scientists were in the meeting yesterday with the PL, managers and players.

They've a stage programme to follow and if that's ok then it will return in June.

And subject to the players and clubs actually agreeing!

Theres one thing starting it, there's another thing it being sustained. A couple of player infections, evidence of fans gathering in numbers.... it wont take much to throw it off course.

Germany starts up this weekend. I think a lot of people in our game will be watching with keen interest.

    Of course.

The virus is here to stay. Germany have already said that they will continue to finish their season no matter what. Spain the same.

Don't go to work mate. Think you should quit your job! Not sure you ready to cope with how the world is today.

Great, now we just need those six clubs to agree to pay for the coronavirus testing and expenses for the rest of the clubs who want the season to end. Perhaps the lawyers can draw up some sort of contract that stipulates Darragh MacAnthony has to pay compensation to the families of any league one players who die if they contract covid 19 whilst playing football?

Don't be so dramatic. Footballers going back to work is no different to most of us. Sure they will be in physical contact with others but only those who've been tested at least twice a week - more than you or I will be tested when we go back to work and I'm sure you dont expect your employer to pay out damages for anyone who may sadly contract and die of this disease. Football will arguably be the safest industry in the country when it returns.

It is a bit different though in that it's a physical contact sport. I'm still working at the moment but my workplace is enforcing social distancing rules so I am two metres apart from people at any given moment so I don't feel particularly in danger. Imagine being a footballer being marked by someone, someone is stood behind you literally breathing on you from an inch away. Funnily enough my family would get a lump sum of cash from my employer if I die, so in that respect I'm probably better protected than your average league two footballer. They have the advantage that they could be tested twice weekly, whereas I have to request a test if I display symptoms. I just don't think a lot of players would be in the right frame of mind to re-start the season and certain players have outright stated that.
