    Would there have been better financial backing though @Bronco@Bronco with Rhodes and Lawn. As I posted earlier Rhodes admitted he wouldn’t have sanctioned Wyke transfer despite Hanson leaving because of no cup run. That’s from Jason Mckeowns latest excellent book about City. So I don’t think the funding would have been better under Rhodes and Lawn. However as you say it’s all hypothetical now.

    Swindon couldn't afford Doyles wages could they? But now they can afford Doyles, Yates', Grant's and Hallam Hopes?!

    Or has Doyle taken a pay cut till the end of the season when he hopes he gets a big new contract elsewhere?

    These two transfers say to me that the owners don’t trust Bowyer to get us promoted.

    It almost feels like a case of- he was given a massive budget which would be maintained if we looked like a top 3 side. We don’t look like going up and seen as we’re safe in this league we’ll trim the budget with the slim hope that he turns it round. Saves money on all fronts including any potential manager redundancy package.

    I'm glad for you mate, 3 managers couldn't get the best out of him, make sure he keeps scoring against any of our promotion rivals, it looks like a few on here have given up, but not all of us ;)
