Looks like Yeats is Swindon bound according to the Rotherham press "Striker Jerry Yates wasn't in the squad for the Ipswich game and may head back to League Two Swindon Town on loan following his recall by the Millers a week ago.

 

They've signed Hallam Hope and a striker yesterday on loan from Leicester since losing Doyle & Yates. Even though they are supposedly skint, surely they can afford to take both in?

I mean you really have to question whatever the transfer policy is, if there even is one, when theres a player like Cooke available for free and we aren't interested.

They believe that they will go up. While I don't think Rhodes thinks that's the case with us and Rupp is just looking to cash in on every opportunity he gets.

 

Best midfielder by a country mile available on a free and we aren't taking the opportunity up. This club is a disgrace. Good quality midfielder decent age and potential to develop and we don't want to take the option?? Baffling. We are skint. Rupp pulling the wool over everyone's eyes and blatantly lying in the programme notes, The ambition this club shows is disgusting. We deserve to be where we are, don't know why I'm shocked but this is a disgraceful decision.

I suggested before we use him as a wing back to help us get two strikers in the team. AOC would have his work cut out covering him but even if Connolly went walkabout it's still not a bad back four if AOC shuffles across and attacking wise it gives us both an outlet ball and a bit more attacking threat in the final third.

 

Yet we gave new contracts to dog shit like Anderson and devine without a second thought. Oh and signed that waste of a wage chris taylor. Beggars belief honestly.

 

On the face of city appear to be a car crash waiting to happen and some of the decisions have back fired, frustrating to the fans. We are mushroom managed in terms of transfer dealings, and the pursued strategy and have to make do with ubstantiated rumours. We will have to wait to see what the big picture actually turns out to be. As city fans we are used to being disappointed / frustrated especially under our last two regimes Rahic/Rupp/, Rhodes/ Rupp so I am not holding my breath as we will probably be left short in areas.
We seemed to have made some progress as a club before the take over not all plain sailing - admittedly but most of the fans felt engaged/a connection to the club - something imho that appears to be missing at the moment. It is not enjoyable watching our team this,season to date. City's management will reap what they sow in terms of recruitment this transfer window if it is a money saving exercise that goes tits up.

 

Maybe Posh are asking for a fee, maybe we cannot afford, or not prepared to pay the wages he would want. Maybe we are risking snapping him on a free in the summer. Its not quite as cut and dried as we think?

 

Make them an offer then.
