No I was with a relative in Scarborough hospital all afternoon and evening. But I am well aware from family and friends how poor we were.

 

If you had seen it you wouldn't be getting your hopes up for Tuesday. We lose on Tuesday and for me the season is finished especially after what I witnessed yesterday.

 

Incidentally the result didn’t surprise but the score line did. I thought Mansfield steamrollered us physically at V P and I read the report and saw the video of their match with Plymouth last week they outplayed them off the pitch for 30 minutes and missed four great chances

 

It will be interesting if he does because he's hardly nailed a position in our poor midfield.

 

Whatever happens to Bowyer Tuesday is vital one for us if we win we will be well in the play off position if we don’t Cheltenham will overtake. Nobody can argue that results wise we haven’t done well at home we must continue with that.

 

It won't be interesting at all mate, it will be a complete borefest

 

It's gone past that point of our home form, our away form will ensure we don't go up. Now outplayed three games on the bounce, this season is rapidly falling apart, just like I said it would.

 

Kamara took over from Lennie Lawrence and we went up.

 

They will still have 2 games in hand over us.

Chris Kamara was an internal promotion to our manager at the time and knew the players and had seen the previous games where Lennie Lawrence had failed.
Are you suggesting we have anyone capable within the club who could do that and make a change to our fortunes, if not it's another shot in the dark IMO.

 

Ordinarily I don't think we'd be in much danger.

Bowyer made the decision to let the defence dictate play (rather than the midfield), and when teams park the bus at VP we have the space to play that boring game.

However if Cheltenham come to play, and with morale in the toilet, I think we might get beaten pretty heavily.

I actually imagine we'll start strongly as a reaction, but the minute they score, given how ineffective defence-oriented possession is, we could be in for a long evening.

 

My point is that with the same group of players a new man in charge implemented tactics and motivation that worked.
Bowyer is stubborn, he’s never gonna change his style, the players look de-motivated and a change is needed. I believe Warnock would take us up this season and probably next, survive in Championship then hand over the reigns

 

I'm not sure the top people at the club have considered changing the manager yet, as I said an internal promotion gives the new man a chance he's seen previous games/formations, and how players respond to different set ups.
There have been several name mentioned but until we are completely out of contention of a play off place I honestly can't see a change of manager.

 

And the point of that will be?

It makes no sense mate! None!

Some of you must really thinks Rhodes and Rupp are really weak people.

So let me get this straight.

"Mr Bowyer we're sacking you now because we're 10 points from the play offs and our season is over, your football is utter sh&te and fans are not renewing. We knew his ages ago but we are weak so decided to give you another 3 months to send us all to sleep" - WHAT IS THE POINT?

Least now we're more attractive as a club(playing wise). Managers like Warnock etc will be thinking Bowyer is doing rubbish at Bradford, I can do better.

We can leave it much longer it's pointless.
Sack the useless manager and let's move on!

 

Just seen the playlist for Tuesday night's game. 'Say what you see', 'Linger', Trash', 'Getting away With It' - are the Record Cafe dropping a few subtle hints?

 

As much as I want Bowyer gone it's a must win game and it wouldn't surprise if we got the 3 points.
Vaughan is back, Donaldson, Devitt and Pritchard got vital minutes. Cooke has to start. He cant go with Reeves and Taylor as a two.

If Henley and Mellor never play another game thats just fine by me Cooke has to play

I agree with all of that apart from the Donaldson situation I'm not suggesting you are talking about playing Donaldson from the off but if he was only able to offer 15/20 minutes on Saturday I would think he could only be relied on a similar amount of game time on Tuesday night.
Then the shout goes out but he needs game time, IMO theres one thing having a player on the bench who could change things later in the game if required, against a player on the bench who you cant use because he's told you he can only manage 15/20 minutes and asking any more might put his recovery back.
