I've said it often enough. I fail to recall too many games where we have played the opposition off the park at VP with our particular style of football; or to put them to the sword when we've had the oppoortunity. It's not the way GB chooses to set-up the team and play the game.

Asking Doyle to return and then expect him to continue in this way is just a repeat of most of last season. Equally expecting the rest of Div 2 players to suddenly change their mindset to accommodate his approach is just pissing in the wind. If we were looking to get better value from a striker, we should have been looking at somebody like Tom Elliott from Millwall who isn't the most graceful of footballers and more in the Donaldson mould than Vaughan or Doyle but is very good at mixing it with defenders and holding up the ball well for others. Unfortunately I think he's now gone to Salford!

Who you replacing him with? And what difference would it have made to today's team choices

His resources have been injured for a lot of the season, so how can you imply he hasn't got the best out of them?

Bear in mind he played as an attacking team as was possible given the absences and everyone's beloved "no-brainer" 442 system.(some of us have warned that when you don't have a proper CDM player at the club, it leaves you vulnerable when playing 442)

But what do we know, so let's have your and the rest of the moaners ideas, on how we could have got so more points than the current 44, given the squad unavailability.

Incidentally, I too am pissed off after this defeat. Getting rid of the manager, is not the solution

I thought Doyle missed an open goal which would have given us a point

Name a player that does then?

    Reeves - struggling
    Palmer- struggling
    Vaughan- struggling
    Everton- struggling
    Cooke - struggling

    These are good players!

    The problem is Bowyer!

Yeah a load of nothing really, I think he was trying to make it sound like we were good in the second half....

Without doubt you felt for both Doyle and Vaughan today, over the game Vaughan was more involved in midfield because there was no supply from that area, Connolly did nothing and Taylor was equally as poor the other side, as stronger team (on paper) that Bowyer has had at his disposal recently and they looked as if they'd never seen each other before never mine played with each other.
When I was down at training on Thursday they had a practice session where they had those plastic cut outs, two rows of three and Connolly and Palmer and a couple of others crossing into the box with players running in between the plastic cut out and trying to beat the keeper and to be honest for pro footballers it was embarrassing to see how they performed with regards finishing, and that was against static cut outs.

Bowyer is the problem as Fordy and others mentioned.

I'll leave it at that. Very depressing. Lucky we are in a good position but this squad should be clear top of the league with whats at disposal. Underachieving big time.

See you next weekend anyways, Can't be bothered with the negative stuff.

Oh come on please. We created nothing at all for him today and he's the leading goalscorer in the country. Stop defending this utter rubbish we are having to endure.

Wouldn't call it an open goal the defender knew nothing about it hit him on the heel as he dived across.

I don't think today's shambles had much to do with formations or tactics, as far as I saw we had players who could not play a simple ball to a team mate, time after time after time.
We had players not picking up loose balls, players letting opponents run at them without a challenge, and players continually playing sideways and backwards, the entire midfield was woeful and I don't know what beef Reeves had when subbed, he was terrible.
A shocking performance that made Crawley look top of the league material.
Thanks lads, a 06.55 start today and not due back until 22.30 all being well, over £200 spent, pissed off? Bloody right I am.
Cannot even be bothered rating them, but plenty of 4's

Well, well, well - those who wanted 4-4-2. EMBARRASSING - you got it, but we didn’t get the 3 points. Not Bowyers fault, I don’t blame him, I’m glad he gave in to the fans ideal formation! Hopefully we can now get back to business pursuing things his way as the MANAGER!

I think the lad Palmer had just made it 2-0 when Doyle missed, not sure we'd have got a point but it would have certainly given us a lift going into the second half.
Even the commentators were saying Bradford will come out second have and cause us problems, so they were expecting some sort of fight second half, unfortunately no one told the Bradford City players, although they did say Bowyer had sent the team out early.

Sorry but we could've had a point against the mighty Crawley Town! They're a good side sat down in 16th. Tough place to go against a team looking to get a win!!!

Up the bantams! Unlucky lads we go again

What is the solution then? Of the starting XI today, O’Connor, Reeves, Wood, McDonnell and Doyle were the only ones he didn’t sign. His squad. He has a dozen midfielders, a dozen, and the midfield was shit today. His squad. He has the top scorer in English football and a former premier league forward, neither of them looked remotely like scoring.
Stop making excuses, unless there is a sea change, this team under BowyerS is finishing outside the top 7.

Get this one ladies and gentlemen.
Today wasn't Bowyers fault, it was our fault. Yes you lot out there, you were to blame for this utter shambles.
I've read some whoppers on here before but this is right up there with them.

    Hats off.

Not having a go but Doyle's confidence should have been so high he didn't need to control the ball that gave the defender chance to get back, but the rest of the team were dire once again.
