I have seen his Twit activity rise over recent days most of it liking ST tweets about him and Yeates ? I think that says hes staying with them. He wont figure tomorrow but there after he joins them permanent. After the season he has had - a ST Legend ! easy to see why he would want to see it through with them Champions and promoted.

But why we would not want to stall this out to 31/1 deadline before letting him join full time only the muppets running the club can explain ?

As far as I'm concerned I haven't got a clue whether we should bring him back or not. The arguments have all been rehearsed to death on here and none of us knows what would happen in any of the scenarios. I'm happy to see what transpires and then hope we make the best of it.

 

I wonder if his salary might be the sticking point for Swindon. Some have said he seems focused on providing for his family

Going to throw a spanner in the works but here goes if Doyle is happy at Swindon let him go he has done more than anyone expected the majority were happy to see him go. Best scenario They take over his contract so we don't need to pay him off plus we get a small fee maybe 50k but also add in a bonus if they get promoted maybe another 50k if declined bring him back. We hold the cards on this.

We were trying to get rid of those before the season started. A couple of high-earners signed by previous managers that didn't fit (or were a bit crap).

Wellens has also said that there's a bit more in the kitty because attendances have exceeded the budget.

We also stand to come in for a bit of a windfall if Derby sell Jayden Bogle. That could be around 1.5M if it goes through.

 

In his loan agreement there is a clause stipulating any decision regarding a recall must be finalised within a couple of days after the game today. Tbf to us, we need to know if we need to recruit a replacement or not.

 

Absolutely no way on earth there was just a 6 day period for the club that, don't forget, still owns the registration of the player, to decide whether to recall him or not.

What's more likely is there's a 14 day period from the opening of the transfer window to have the discussions and come to a decision.

This would also likely aid any Swindon attempt to buy him outright as you'd also need time to agree personal terms which can only be discussed once a fee had been agreed between the clubs.

 

I’m pretty certain those ITK from within the clubs who read nonsense like this are sat at home p*ssing themselves at nobodies claiming to know what’s in a player’s agreement.
