I'm afraid he was worse than dreadful. Hardly broke sweat all game and as soon as he had possession he gave it away. Terrible.

 

Let's hope both Palmer and Reeves need to work themselves back to match fitness football wise, Palmer did little today to justify team selection, lets hope Bowyer learns and we can get better going forward and with more positivity from players like Reeves and Palmer, the game today must have been frustrating for any creative player.

 

McCartan once again very disappointing. If Lincoln ever did bid for him we should have snapped their hands off.

 

The most galling moment for me came on the way home. When asked for his observations on the game Bowyer began by saying that he thought we played really well. He continued to praise various players and the way we stuck at it. I'm lost for words.

 

Not sure i buy into the view that it is promotion at any cost.

Whilst keen to get out this division surely we want to create a side and a pattern of play that can be sustained in league one and avoid a swift return. Not convinced on either point that we are close to achieving this.

I doubt any City fan is happy about the performances. It's turgid draws/wins. I can't tell if it's pure luck where we are or by design. I guess we are pretty strong at the back so an improvement on last year. I'd rather be looking up than looking down. Ultimately football has to provide entertainment otherwise folk will turn away. I just think that there's always going to be a time (as a fan) when you have to put up with utter boredom. We all have our limits, that much I agree. I just think it's imperative that we get back to league 1. I just see it as a cushion. League 2 can be extremely dangerous for any professional football club.

People need to realise we have just played 360 mins of football over 11 days with a team that has been beset with injuries and sickness. We have returned 10 points and sit well in the table.
Think about the reasons for playing the type of football and what we want to achieve at the end of the season.
The Xmas period goes a long way to determining the make up of the table.
It wasn't because the players are crap that at the beginning of today's game we could not string 2 passes together it was simply down to the facts that so many games in a short period plus the sickness bug and players out injured.

 

Another player we've managed to bring down a level.

 

Way too pro active and sensible for most to comprehend.

I wonder if Bowyer has fallen out with Cooke, or maybe Cooke is going back or elsewhere. I just cannot see how Palmer is playing ahead of him. And on the subject of Palmer, whenever the ball was played to him from the keeper of defence, he never even looked over his shoulder to see if anything was on. Just played a first time ball back to a defender regardless of whether or not the defender was being closed down. He was the same against Macc. Shocking

 

In his post match interview, Bowyer described accurate media criticism of his tactics as 'disrespectful'. He knows nothing.

 

we've played like this since the first game of the season. It's got nothing to do with injuries, illness or fixture congestion. It's purely down to the fact we have a negative, boring, safety first manager.

 

Not making excuses at all just simply stating facts, some on here seem to think we as Bradford City just need to turn up to roll over teams.

 

Cooke is more attacking and forward thinking than Palmer, that's why the latter plays.

 

Wouldn't shock me if we sent Cooke back.
