No mate, there is no way on this earth the leading goalscorer in professional football is gonna come back to sit on the bench. Too much involved. I see both clubs clubs coming to an agreement very early on in January and Doyle stays at Swindon. Financially we brought players in on the back of him leaving.

    I see him coming back.

Bradford City will look like mugs and far too much pressure will be put on Mr Rupp and Mr Rhodes if the unthinkable happens if Swindon go up but we don't.

Bowyer himself then would be under extreme pressure

Not worth the risk mate. You would want the leading goalscorer in the division back if you were manager.

Why would we want to benefit a rival? Madness mate.

You have hit the nail on the head there some who are pleading for Doyle's return think he will come back and continue his admirable goal scoring form without disruption
    Neither will happen
Doyle would quie rightly expect to start as our No 1 striker this would disrupt a winning teams formation/ momentum and possibly cost us points whilst adapting to the change
We need to quickly circulate his name (if needed) that the leagues top scorer is available in January to the highest bidder and cash in on possibly our only playing asset freeing up cash to strengthen some of our weaker areas The alternative is to bring back a player who rather wouldn't be here disrupt a winning team and let him go on a free at the end of the season

    Blimey, this is painful.

He cannot play for any other club, including Europe, apart from Bradford and Swindon.

Does this apply to a permanent Transfer? I'm sure you're right just not 100% sure.

But who is going to fork out money for a player in January when they can’t play him and then get him for free in the Summer?

Makes no odds if it is a loan or a perm. He cannot play for more than 2 different clubs in one season.

He isn't allowed to play for any other club barring Swindon and Bradford.

Bowyer is the boss and Doyle will do as he's told. If he starts then great. If he's on the bench he will cope with it.

As for the rest. We're doing we'll be its not as if we're 10 points clear and Vaughan needs to be doing better.

Clubs have to cope with this issue. Let's not think like a small time club.

But it’s not really up to Bowyer is it. It’s your owner who may well have to cough up £130,000 to bring him back and maybe not play him when he in all likelihood get £100,000 from us.

    Risk v reward mate.

We would get that back and more if we go up.

At the moment we are a L2 club a "small time club" and until we get out of this league have to concentrate on just that it's a difficult enough task on its own to get out
We have a winning team with dare I say a winning mentality and to disrupt this for a player who hasn't exactly scored a hatful for us like he has this season could put our promotion plans at risk
Small steps lead to bigger strides your business experience should have taught you this

And we kill the momentum of a rival by removing their goal threat.

We don't have a winning team and we sit 3rd. The league is tight still and if we recall the LEADING goalscorer in the division it will help us.

Even if he scores half the goals he has for us then it would be more then currently any of our players at this moment.

As for small steps.. small step is taking a risk with rewards to generate. We take two hits in 1..

    1) We remove Doyle from a rival
    2) we've the leading goalscorer in the division

Why are you worried about Swindon or any other rival we have 2 games in hand win both of those and we are 3 points clear without Doyle
Swindon should be worrying about us !!!!!!!

Because I would rather points on the board.

Plus like it or not they're currently top.

Everybody would prefer points on the board but if you can't play for whatever the reason you won't get them
After last season wouldn't you have taken top 3 at the end of November with games in hand with or without Doyle
It remains to be seen what happens in January nobody can predict with any conviction any effect Doyle returning would have

If we brought Doyle back when he wants to stay at Swindon and he doesn't put his all into the games for us then all he's doing is ruining his own career future. Whether he likes it or not, he is our player.

I don't see that as a disadvantage, if he's scoring for Swindon against fellow promotion rivals, if we get Swindon to pay his full wages I'd take that.
There are no guarantees with regards his phenomenal goal scoring record so far, he couldn't play the system Bowyer played whilst Doyle was here earlier in the season, I'm not sure Bowyer would change his formation to accommodate Doyle, it's certainly going to be an interesting January.
