Reece Staunton has extended his loan with Ossett United.

 

Who cares how he's gone, he's gone and he will have only gone if it's saving us money. More importantly it's about who we get in and don't know about anybody else but I can't wait to see Pritchard. Spent most of his career in non league and when he's been given his big break he's been useless (according to the Blackpool fans).

We better not have paid him a penny!! Contract cancelled means just that, his agent sorted the Blackpool contract for him, we must have agreed we would cancel his contract before all that took place.

If he wanted paying off, he can take it out of all the sick pay we paid last year.

No he won’t have been. He will know Blackpool will take his wages or close to and he will be happy with that as a chance at league one football

I'd be suprised if Scannell hasnt got the best of this "mutual" agreement, having said that Bowyer and his backroom staff will know exactly what the situation is with regards his fitness long term and that will have been taken into consideration.
It was obvious he couldn't do 90 minutes so all in all best to get rid of him and take whatever finacial hit that involves.

 

I really don’t mind him leaving. His best days are behind him in my view, but I really don’t want the club to pay him to move. If he wants to move and it would be my view he has initiated it prompted by the Championship manager, then he can go.

 

I've counselled many a senior business person over the years and they all start where you are - we're paying him/her knack all - that is rarely where we finish up though!

The mutual bit from our side is getting rid of the wages plus any add ons that may have looked likely plus any potential additional contract that may have been in his current terms. Plus we know how fit he is and what he may contribute and we know whether he'll fit into how we want to play. Whilst we may not want to chase him away it may also help us to get in maybe two players so on the balance of things it could be a good deal for us.

 

That’s true but if the player is pushing for a move as all the indications suggest then that won’t be the case

 

I'm not sure what experience you have in contract negotiation but from my experience it doesn't really matter who makes the first move. There's always a benefit to both sides and if the contract has truly been ended by mutual agreement then there is likely to be something in it for both sides.

 

I have no doubt it is a good deal, but I really resent paying players to leave our club. It is not like we haven’t paid him is it? He has been tapped up in my view, so if he wants to go then leave. I know what you are saying, but he is a player who is injury prone beyond belief, not fit, and I will be amazed if he passes the medical; if he has managed to get a deal with Blackpool, good luck to him, but please do not expect Bradford fans to pay him off. I know I am baying at the moon as I have no input in negotiations.

 

Played every game for them so far, playing the whole 90 in each game. Only been 3 games but its a promising start for the young lad

 

Pritchard fits the build, tall winger, very fit ( fittest blackpool player in pre season) played all last season in a high end mid table L1 team. Will do well with us.

 

Genuinely, how do you know he was the "fittest Blackpool player in pre season?

 

How tall is Pritchard? The only evidence i've seen of his height is 173cm = 5ft 8
