"Doing us a favour" rubbish.. This is exactly the attitude that is killing lower league football.. These premier league clubs think they're doing us a favour..

guessing you’ve not seen the social media post advocating a minutes applause in the 6th min in ‘respect’ of liverpool’s champions league win?

to he honest, if it was any other club apart from liverpool i’d probably be going but i really can’t stand that club.

    Yes I do.

TAA, Brewster, Wilson,Woodburn all under 23

Let's add the fact that Liverpool won the youth team won the youth cup.

Oh and Klop will be there managing.

So if you want to see some of the best talent in the world then why would you be disappointed either way!

    Think about what you're saying.

To anyone who's whinging about who'll be there, why they're going, what shirt they're wearing etc... get a grip and get a life. We're going to support Darbs and have a great day at a FULL VP, which is an extremely rare event indeed. I'll be there with my 6-yr old daughter. It's her first ever football match (she'll be wearing a Liverpool kit :sob:) and we're both looking forward to it. I was 5/6 when my dad first brought me to VP, so this'll be a momentous occasion for me personally, and for everyone in attendance.

guess we will have to cope without you then. No problem looks like a sell out of ppl who can manage to put their loyalties to one side in order to make this a great day for the MND charity.

so, those parents *possibly* taking their children to their first ever live match and those children *possibly* attending their first match who may not know that salah, mane, firmino, alisson, etc will more than likely not be playing due to international commitments are going to be appeased by lads they’ve never heard of by saying ‘they won the youth cup you know, he got to the championship play-off with derby and he finished second in the SPL’?

if that’s all it takes we should be happy if we draw liverpool u23s in the checkatrade next season and we should expect another sell-out crowd for that?

think about what you are saying.

the checkatrade game isn't a charity game for one of our legends and the club he started out at.

I was going to the game, even bought a ticket.. I just think it's very disrespectful to Bradford City Football Club for Sky Sports FC fans to turn up and sit in the home end wearing their Liverpool tops. I also fully expect not very many of those armchair fans even knew who Stephen Darby was until this friendly was announced. The reason for the match I can't/wouldn't want to argue with as it's a great match for a great player.

As I said it's just a view I have. Also these people saying it doesn't matter what they're wearing.. Would they have the same view if a bunch of Leeds tops were seen..

Grow up. Its for a great cause and does it really matter what people are wearing? Its a sell out... How many of those Bradford "fans" attending have actually been to a game before this? Plastic fans on both sides here.

Just in case anyone forgot the reason for this game, its esentially a fund raiser for two guys who suffer from motor nerones disease and the foundation thats part of it. The fact that over 20,000 are contributing to this worhwhile cause top trumps any other argument.

This game is a great incentive for our players. There aren't many lower league footballers who get to play in front of 25k fans and it'll be a new experience for most. If they weren't already, the players will be giving it absolutely everything in training in a bid to impress Bowyer and get into the team for 14th July. For pure footballing reasons this will only benefit us.

Well said. I think it will be an amazing day and hopefully a memorable one for young young daughter. What a great match to remember as her first ever.

It could well be the best footballing day of some of our lads footballing careers, although when we get promoted as league leaders next May that might top it :)

First and foremost I think there's a reason the game is taking place at Valley Parade and not Anfield. Stephen Darby played most of his football in a Bradford City shirt, achieved most of his success here, captained the club, made history, and in many peoples eyes is a a City legend. Yes the aim of the day is to raise as much money as possible but it's also a time for City fans to show their appreciation to someone who served the club well and an all round great bloke, so purely from a selfish point I'm not going to lie, I'd much rather the home end was full of city fans than thousands of day trippers only there for a day out. If that's what @Plastic Bantam@Plastic Bantam and @brisbanebantams@brisbanebantams are getting at then i completely understand where they are coming from.

FIFTY EIGHT seats left in the entire ground.

Really is the last chance for those who want to attend.

There are no more tickets available in the ground once these few sell.

Over 24,000 sold at this stage.

Mr Controversy, wonder if he'll do an exit poll to back up his comment.
