I can forgive a player for lack of talent but you shouldn't forgive a player for a clear lack of effort.

Same here mate. I wasn't impressed with Anderson last season, Devine hadn't played for quite a while until Bowyer brought him back. The manager obviously sees something in them and realises we need strength in depth. We can criticise the players Gary Bowyer offers new contracts to and the new players he brings in or targets but do we all really have more know how than him?
We are where we are and need to back GB (until he lets us down).
Last season and a half has been a nightmare so let's move forward with a bit of belief in what Gary Bowyer's trying to do.
I target verbals to players who don't try as much as anyone but I'm prepared to give the new squad a clean slate. If that makes me a Happy Clapper so be it, I've been calls worse (once)!

 

The rumour about us giving Ledley a trial seems to have gone very quiet. Has anyone that has been down to training over the last couple of games seen any sign of him?

 

Even if all those around him are not trying either.

Surely we’ve all been apart of some kind of squad or sport at some point where teammates don’t give their all - for one reason or another, it rubs off on people.

Im currently sat in the car park now, came down to watch training. What do you know, they're either in the pool or gym anyways, Reeves is doing a load of straight line work. Thats it. Spoke to bloke who's a regular at training sessions, seems to think that Ledley HAS been training with us, whether it's just for fitness or not he isnt sure. Seems to think we're still in for Mayor too. Hes apparently doing the rounds looking at prospective clubs before maki g the leap. Let's hope were one of the clubs he visits

I never said I believed it. Although reading the post below yours, sounds like he might have been with us this week - whether that's just to help him get his fitness up or something more we will have to wait and see.
