If GB wanted rid of the high earners why not just put them on the transfer list simple

A year older than this time last year when we couldn’t believe Rahic (not Collins) got rid of him?

I'd have him back. Apparently had a cracking season last season in Scotland and their fans (Hamilton was it?) were disappointed to see him go. I reckon he could still do it in L2 at 35

Don't disagree but what is the balance between left and right footers at centreback in the squad?

Never convinced it matters at this end of the league. Just bloody defend.
See ball head ball / kick ball.
Last time we were in the basement we had Davies/McArdle both right footers at CB.
Not sure it caused too many issue's

Good question. He might come aboard as player coach / cover, hes good enough to play left or right in L2, his experience and ability to read the game would be a huge bonus for us at this level. Also a ready made defensive coach

How do we know they're not?

Or maybe it's less public than just transfer listing them?

Yes. Still appeared 38 times for the champions of L2. Northern Ireland caps, good age. He won't be given away for free.

Walsall striker? Linked with him in past. Experts on here sneered at it as only at Tranmere. Bit like Lyle Taylor, Tom Eaves, Billy Kee and Matt Crooks...plus many many more.

Plus the club is repaying the loan that Rupp gave the club to cover shortfalls.

Debt free again. Its a positive.

Rupp shouldn't be giving the club a loan. He should be putting his hands in his own pocket.

This obsession with being debt free for Bradford City isn't a positive and a reason why the club doesn't kick on.

Most clubs higher clubs are not debt free. If Mr Rupp can't afford to run the club or take on the debts he needs to quit.

If you really want to run it as a debt free business then off the field we need to be doing more to attract more money and stop people pleasing.

Gibson has posted a few times in twitter about the new kit and season tickets etc so either he's staying or being very professional!

Maybe he just has a liking for season tickets and the colours claret and amber. Some strange folk about.

I believe Rupps an investor. Ie looking for a return on his money by doing a good job and making the club profitable whilst taking us up the leagues. (Agree that’s yet to happen but he has funded Edins idiocy so seems willing).
Any other version starts us down a well trodden bath that took us 10+ years to shake off.
You would put the clubs long term future at risk? Unless you’ve got £50m to put in and lose?
    Does city have ambition. Yes.
Do we need to risk the future of the club doing it?no.
Risk taking yes but with the caveat we don’t put the future at risk.
Or you could go support Man U or Liverpool like millions of other sheep.

For all those we have listed who will be likely to be moved on/we want to move on, I feel McCarten might be one we should consider keeping.

Unless he wants away or we can command a decent fee (unlikely) I just wonder if GB can get something out of him under new surroundings and structure within the club?

Yes, he struggled under Stuart. However consider all the mess going on behind the scenes at the time. He was a younger less experienced player and I’m hopefully that perhaps having to move out on loan last season may have been an experience he learnt from and allowed him to further mature.

From what he showed at Accrington theres potential of a player in there. He scored some good goals last season for Lincoln so there’s a skill level in him. Perhaps he needs a manager to coach him in applying it in the right way to his game?

If we were to secure Vaughan, a front four options of Doyle, Donaldson, Vaughan and McCarten sounds pretty decent for League Two IMO. That said, maybe the signing of Vaughan rests on the funds being generated by someone like McCarten moving on?
