Richard Sutcliffe is more informed than Simon Parker without a doubt.

 

I think he scored around 12 goals after he was moved up front. My favourite player at the time. Apparently came on Wes Reid’s recommendation - was about to Jack it all in and become an accountant!
Talking of Reid, it was that season he scored a wonder goal by beating about 8 players running from our half. Doc’s team wasn’t that bad. Way better than this lot that Collins/Hopkin/Drury/Bowyer have had!

Look the lads done ok in 2-3 games but to pretend that he's up to the "rigours" of "Khazi League" football is setting him and us up for a fall ?!. Where Bowyer needs to direct his recruitment is away from youngsters and loans from academies and get looking at Non League players !. Especially get looking at the top half of the National League !. Think about this for a minute ? Assuming Orient join us in the Dark Age League only one out Salford; Harrogate; Wrexham; Solihull , Fylde or Eastleigh can do so !.That leaves a good number of decent players mighty frustrated at missing out of the FL and "chomping at the bit" for a chance at Bradford City surely ? So Bowyer needs to go on a "raiding mission" and take the best out of those teams ? Can I recommend the entire Salford back line ! and definitely Rooney their top scorer 19 goals !' and Rowe 29 goals at Flyde ! These are exactly the right level of players we need ! They're experienced and fit for purpose in quasi "Non League" football. They've missed out with their team so getting a chance at Bradford City by far and away the biggest club in the 4th Division ? They will want to prove themselves and not want to go back to Non League. So Gary get yourself out "the Bunker" and knocking on doors in Natiomal League or NL North & South and bring in some proper physical hard as nails players. There might be a place for the likes of Paudie O'Connor but it isn't asking a kid to be the defensive lynchpin in a League that will find our inadequacies in no time come first week in August !
