Who do you start on Sat?

Aye, it's a a fair challenge tbh. Same could be said about Mellor when he was more forward but was that with a back three?

Biggest problem is our central defenders have been rotten most games and we have very little option there.

Not sure Butterfield has done enough to start. Bit left field but I'd like to see Luca get some game time. He shoots, he's scored, things happen when he gets on. More than can be said for more experienced midfielders in the team.

 

I can come up with a variety of line-ups I wouldn't mind seeing, based upon the line-ups we had during our good spell, but they all require a fit Caddis!

i) O'Donnell; Caddis, Mellor, NKP, Chicksen; L' O'Brien, Butterfield/Akpan, Payne, Ball; Doyle, Miller

ii) O'Donnell; Caddis, Mellor, NKP, Chicksen; L' O'Brien, Butterfield/Akpan, Payne, Wood; Ball, Doyle

iii) O'Donnell; Caddis, Mellor, P. O'Connor, NKP, Chicksen; L. O'Brien, Payne, Wood; Ball, Doyle

Subs: Wilson, Clarke, whoever of Akpan/Butterfield isn't starting, Wood & Miller if not starting, one of Devine/Goldthorp/Staunton/Maltby for the homegrown requirement, Patrick if still space

If Caddis is out, then I suppose I might give Riley another chance, or move Mellor over, and POC comes in for i) and ii); for iii) Wood to the defence and one of Butterfield/Akpan into midfield.

More decisions to be made if any of Colville, Scannell, and Woods are fit. I'd put Woods in for Chicksen, who'd move to the bench. Colville and Scannell would make the bench, the latter perhaps the starting line-up.

Mellor starts for me and I’d almost be tempted to do 3 CB’s and two CMs in front to manage their front 3.

Clean slate for all, including O’Conner. NKP has been dire all season (O’Conner not much better) but don’t think we gain anything by dropping the better of the two. Depending on availability, I’d set up as below.

This is by no means a slur on Devine because I don't know him, but when he has played he has never looked like he was busting a gut for the shirt. But maybe that's just his laid back style

 

Any idea about any particular style/system Bowyer likes to play? Not seen anything mentioned.

On Twitter Blackpool fan says he likes to keep it tight at the back and once in front preserve what we have. However, is flexible with systems. Preserving what we have sounds good to me, music to the forwards ears no doubt.
