There are arguements to be had both sides @Bigrod@Bigrod, we have done well with rookies in the past as @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam pointed out, I personally feel at the present time I would prefer a manager like Bowyer, hopefully we might have a new man in place sooner rather than later.

Got to be Evans then and that's fine by me!
Bowyers managerial win record at Blackburn/ Blackpool was no more than 30-odd percent! He will need to lift that figure significantly to take us forward. How do you seriously expect the guy to achieve that?

We need a leader with proven methods of WINNNG games consistently and however divisive there is absolutely nothing else left to lose by appointing STEVE EVANS.

At least he can still offer us a glimmer of hope of winning some games to keep us up. If it's Bowyer then we really are we well and truly gone into the abyss!

Perhaps there was a clue in something Drury was quoted as saying....

I don’t think it necessarily has to be someone of an older age who’s got the years of experience but somebody with experience of situations like this.

Or maybe it was just his opinion.

Evans has a decent win record but his last two jobs he failed spectacularly with big budgets.

No manager is guarenteed to do well and at this level you are going to have managers who failed elsewhere.

I think Drury showed his nervousness at the pre match interview.
He's managed to slip under the radar twice and still has a job. Most
new managers bring in their own back room staff so he's no doubt
happy to still have a job.He doesn't want to be the manager because
he wants to stay but it's also a possible negative thing as a clean sweep
is often better as old habits die hard and Drury is there with his.

I think the fact that the new appointment is till the end of the season Bowyer will stick with what he has got so Drury will be safe till the end of the season

Not sure about that Park. If Bowyer fails to improve anything we
have to start again and as a coach for first team up to press a
clean start may be best.I know Todd will be coach now and Drury
may go back to under 23's but if things just aren't working you
have to consider all aspects.Drury is here and although it's not
all his fault,he represents same old same old and the players
will feel the same and new blood required.

    He has brought Todd in.

Drury role in the first team if is still apart of it is limited now. Hoping he is moved back down to youth level myself.

Our players need a fresh outlook.

He's openly said he feels happy with that situation back with the kids, no axe to grind with the lad, as Micheal Collins he was put into a situation where he couldn't win IMO.

I just think it would be for the best mate. Drury speaks well and will have a future in the game but our players need a complete fresh start now.

    Fresh idea's and mindset.

Back down to youth level Drury should go.

It depends on the weather, if they are around the back it's a bit of a trek and muddy.

Around the back? Won't be driving my merc around there.

What time do they normally start?

Last Tuesday they came around just after 11am that was later than usual as maybe the backroom staff were giving them the new situation as Dave Hopkin had left, I believe they get Monday off ?.

Yeah Monday is normally an off day as is Wednesday I believe.

The players might of been in today though due to new manager and Saturday's disgrace

Isn't Wednesday only a day off when they've had a Tuesday night game?
