PP or Stuart? or do we go with Blake, Lawrence etc?

If it was up to me i'd get McCall back, 3rd time lucky and all that. We need a manager who plays good attacking football which Stuart did. Not knocking PP but his football was mainly hoof, and that type of play will not work with the players we have.

No chance Stuart would leave Scunny already.
Bolton will need to sack PP - but then would he really want to come to us? He'll have better offers down the line.

So god knows who it could be. Unless Jacobs quits at West Brom and he comes in? Surely it can't be Blake.

If Evans was appointed he wouldn't get an inch from fans.
The fans who don't boycott would demand instant results otherwise another meltdown would be on the cards.
    Even Collins got more leeway.

But as you say, now is not the time for a 'good cop' manager.
Parky was successful with us precisely because he was a ruthless *@?$ and wound up other managers (eg Steve Pressley at Cov).

This is our last throw of the dice. We need to get it right

How could he keep us up? Peterborough invested in umpteen players and he couldn't motivate them. They went from a top 2 position in October to fans wanting rid of " the foul mouthed bully and his sidekick in January".
You know the old saying " empty vessels make most noise."

I have agreed with most things you have posted recently Fordy, especially about Hopkin.
However totally disagree with you about Evans. If he comes near our football club, with his immoral values I for one will be taking time out from the club whilst ever he was in charge.

Whilst ever Rhodes is at this club, cannot see it happening anyhow

I agree @LS Bantam@LS Bantam but I'd go further, an experiance manager who knows our club inside out.

Do you still believe Phil Parkinson went for no other reason than Rahic wanted a sat in the running of the football side of things at Valley Parade ?.

I think he went because 1) Edin's interference and approach and 2) Bolton came in for him

    you?

What a couple of days that was. Great day out, I had drunk a considerable amount of bubbly by the time we arrived at Wolves;) A bit premature but as you know I had knowledge of how that game was going to pan out:) The players were superb, although that hit against the woodwork shook me up lol.

The Wolves fans were also first class.

That says more about your ignorance of such behaviour. Do not argue against the indefensible, it demeans you!

"bit like Nahki, Parky and many more but everyone wants them back lol".

That's not what you were insinuating in your post above.

Me, he was going to continue at Bradford City and had meetings with Rahic, who unfortunatly for us mentioned his status as a owner who had coaching badges and wanted to bounce football matters of Phil.
Parky came out of said meeting and got straight onto his agent and told him to start putting it out he would not be able to work under Rahic, the rest is history, the Bolton chairman quoted in the Bolton paper he would not pay any compensation with regards Phil Parkinson, Anderson did not pay compansation for Phil Parkinson although in his contract he had a buyout clause of £200,000 for himself and £100,000 to take Steve Parkin.
Once again Rahic made if look like Phil Parkison was the bad guy in the situation, and it looks like some believed him.
The situation of Phil Parkinson leaving was nothing like the Blake/Wells situation.

I was responding to someone about the whole attitude thing, PP took all the clubs official documents and books (or allegedly) so it was a bit of a salty exit wasn't it?

I'd take him back for sure, but his stock his higher than Bradford City.

"Evans for me is everything this club needs right now"

He joined Mansfield on 16th November 2016. At the time Mansfield were 11th in the league. In spite of having over half a season in charge to improve their position where did they finish? 12th. Great performance that.

Next season Mansfield were doing a lot better. But on 27th February 2018, yes this week, what did he do? He walked out and left them. Next day he joined Peterborough! Well done.

Now then let's look at Peterborough. He was signed to help get them in the playoffs. At the time Peterborough were in 8th place, played 34 and on 50 points. A few weeks later come the end of the season where were they? 9th. Yes, one place lower. And that's with the league's top scorer Jack Marriott. In the 12 games he was there that season Peterborough got 14 points. I don't know how he would get 14 points with our lot and would it be enough anyway?

Don't even mention this season's performance at Peterborough.

So looking at his record over the last couple of seasons or so I cannot see anything that would make Steve Evans be our saviour. And I haven't even mentioned his frequently talked about morals or his pitch side manner.

So it's a No from me.

The fact that they are once again going short term probably means they don't want to put a new manager place for the probably new owners in the summer but it's a bad move for the clubs short term prospects
