Well here is the reason why I would hate him as manager
1 he is divisive some would like him others despise him how many female fans would welcome someone who flashed at a female employee of our club.
2, His recent record is poor
3 he likes to spend plenty which he wouldn’t be able to here
We need to get behind our next manager the only reason most people would get behind Evans is to give him a boot up His posterior

 

Parky bookies favourite, we all know this means nothing and unlikely to happen but it would be the best thing to happen to the club since he left in my eyes.

Not sure how many of men on this site have female relatives, wife, girlfriend, sister, mother, aunt; what would be their view if it is one of their family that was subjected to this obnoxious/disgusting behaviour? Try asking them their view in an open manner. This is not a trivial prank, it is a serious crime. It is also a repeat crime, plus the vast majority go unreported due to feeling humiliated and feel their voice would not be heard. What do you think he was saying to our club, and women who work here? Women in general?

The fact that some football fans who support our club are prepared to brush it aside is immensely disappointing. I probably have an unrealistic view of fans at our club, I always think of us as special.

 

Why not? We are as good as down in some eyes and perhaps in those of the club too. We are allegedly running at 2m loss this season already, do you really think they will spunk more on an expensive manager, pay compensation or more likely let drury and mcelhone see the season to its death?

 

Although I agree that the £2m is not good, Im sure trying to stay in league one by paying someone who may keep us up woulld be a bigger saving than accepting relegation and the problems league two present.
I believe many fans will be hanging back from buying their season tickets as we may know one way or the other which league we'll be in by the deadline date, and if were looking like league two 10,000 would be a good effort, even thought they are very good value.

 

Why not? Because the club shouldn't be throwing in the towel and writing the season off when there are 12 games and 36 points still to play for and we are 3 points off 20th, with plenty of teams still in the relegation mix. We are in a mess but let's not make things even worse by pussying out of the fight.

It wouldnt surprise me to see a temporary appointment until the summer, and Parky returning in the summer.

As much as I would welcome him back, I would want him back now. Failing that I would go for Hurst or Bowyer. We need to make a permanent appointment before the Posh game in my opinion

PP has way surpassed us now in the realistic option category - a solid CV here plus a promotion with Bolton and keeping them up in the Championship with all their problems. He’s a bottom end-mid table Championship manager, not a L2 one as we’re likely to be should we not appoint incredibly well.

 

I meant the club shouldn't pussy out of the fight by throwing in the towel and giving the manager's job to Drury until the end of the season.

 

If the Shrewsbury game stays the same outcome as it currently is with Shrewsbury winning, its starting to look like 4 from 6. Both Shrewsbury and Gillingham in 18th would be 6 points ahead with a better goal difference. Walsall in 19th are 5 ahead and Oxford 3 ahead with a better goal difference. Even Bristol Rovers have a game in hand and way better goal difference. Shrewsbury, Bristol and Oxford have winnable home games on Saturday and we have the small matter of a trip to Pompey. Could be literally all over bar the shouting after Saturdays game. FFS.
