Agreed, it would be a huge gamble to appoint Blake at this moment in time and one I don't think we can afford to take.

Parky left because of reasons we all know about now but for me blake at the time and after left me with bad feelings towards the guy.

Maybe it's just me but 3 or 4 players I have these feelings towards ;)

Two played for Leicester when we're in the prem ;)

Can you remember Windass’s comments when Middlesbrough inquired about him and he moved? Despite that and his subsequent well documented ‘demons’, some think he has something to offer!

Personally l do not think this is a good time for any of our former players to return, as a manager.

Looks like we are going to make the same mistake as last season by going for a short term appointment.
That means whatever league we are in next season we will be behind on preparations
If there is a stand out candidate available appoint now they should be thorough but quick possibly in time for the Luton game.

I recall at Wolves, the camera had just panned onto Blake and Beags, both sat on the bench and their faces contorted in anguish.
The full time whistle blew, the expression from agony to ecstasy on Blakes face is a moment I'll never forget.........

    Just saying.....

What league we are in will depend on lots of things.Wages for a manager appointed now based on being a league 1 club, but if we're relegated then our income drops but managers contract will be the same.Give someone a chance who has league 1 and 2 experience and have a rethink at end of season.

If these players can be motivated then we could still be in league 1 but a lot of the "motivated" players won't be with us.

Agreed. It needs to be an appointment with next year in mind, and so that the new manager can have the rest of the season to assess the squad and see who he wants to keep.

Agree. And that’s why our squad is a mismash if about 3 or 4 peoples ideas and one of those reasons why we are where we are.

Exactly. The last thing we need right now is another 'short term see how it goes' kind of appointment.

I will be so jealous if he is appointed. I played footy with him when young at Mansfield. Obviously he was far better than me at it

It's a difficult situation because appointing a temp manager till end of season might be a good idea but if he's successful
in motivating these players what does that say? He's a great motivator (with these players)but is he a great recruiter? A lot
of this squad will be gone in the summer so what he may or may not achieve between now and then may not be enough
to appoint him on a longer contract.

I don't know how the club see Evans as a potential manager. If the female employee still works at City then she might be out
the door pdq and a few supportive colleagues may follow. We've had enough disharmony in the club we need everyone connected
to get on board the same ship.If Evans were appointed and results continued as they are partly because the "players" don't want
to play for him then we really will have meltdown.

Evans, not for me,we can survive without out him.

We need the best man for the job and not to be weak minded as some fans.

Evans for me is everything this club needs right now.

I don't care about the past as we don't live in it. I care about the future.

He could keep us up and that's what I want.

Not for me. Imagine a bloke came into your office for the day and flashed a member of staff. You wouldn’t employ him a few years later!!

I really don't understand the comments about losing fans if Evans is appointed. Surely we'd lose a hell of a lot more if we're relegated? I'm 100% BFSE could keep us up, even if it's a deal till the end of the season.

Whoever gets the job needs our full support, regardless of who it is, because relegation is a hell of a lot worse than not liking a particular manager.
