I will agree with that. Young kid, thrown in at the deep end and surrounded by shite and had a few injuries. I still think he may have something to offer. He was completely frozen out by Hopkin.

 

If we appoint Steve Evans I’m done.

 

Honestly, we need the feelngood factor back, and the relationship between the players and fans. Evans can’t do that, it is not part of his arsenal. Shouting and humiliation is his way of doing things, I doubt that would work here. For me it would be like selling the soul of the club; nobody can tell me he is the only candidate for the job. Lots of fans like the thought of someone coming in to give this lot a kick up the arse, but it won’t work, and I am also not sure what the hell he would do with all the creative players in the squad. He likes to spend on his type of player, as do all managers, but we need someone who can try and get these players onside and playing like they give a damn.

 

Out of his depth Park. All players were given a chance by Hopkin to show they bought into his approach - it would appear billy big boots Riley did not.

 

I don't care what happened in the past with the players.

A new manager has to give everyone a fresh start and hope.

I'm sorry to say that I predicted a hard season for you - so many new players and players like Dieng jumping ship.

If you do manage to find a manager to keep you up this season then I suspect their name will be something like The Messiah!

 

We were getting relegated under Hopkin. Whilst today’s news came as a surprise, we now have a chance of staying up as it surely can’t get worse.

Our last 2 managers (not counting Collins) have just walked away without being sacked. Has this ever happened to any club before where succesive managers feel there is no point in even trying to stay?

 

People saying "who would want to come to Bradford at the present time"? Well I believe that any number of out of work managers would jump at the chance. What have they got to lose? We look almost certs for relegation after saturday so if we do go down under their watch no one will be surprised. But if they did orchestrate a miracle and we finish 20th or above they will be held up as being a brilliant manager. I bet the phone line to VP is red hot at this very moment. The one thing that will have happened is that I bet this has taken Rhodes by surprise and he would not have had any idea that he would be needing to appoint a new manager.

 

Look at the Division it has caused on here with just speculation what would happen if we lost a couple

I was surprised he's walked. Have I tried to defend him? Have I mentioned his tactical approach anywhere? All I've been saying is that his January business was done with one hand behind his back and he won't have been the only manager who didn't get what he wanted. Thats football in the lower league and in January.
