as said, the scoreboard was crowd funded, nothing to do with Edin.


the pitch was a mess, and our hand was forced when we had a game called off, the only one in the country (i think) to not beat the weather, and the FA wrote to us about the state of the pitch, it would have been fixed whoever was running the club, let me tell you, Edin Rahic, if he could have got away with it, wouldn't have done anything with the pitch.

 

Your right saying you are prepared just raises fan expectations. However, he may well have agreed with respective managers and agents that players are coming to us in November/December BUT, that will not have been signed sealed and definitely not delivered, it will have been phone calls and tentative agreements. Things change like they now want to keep their player, or they want more money, or they want to loan instead of sell. Also don’t forget you are dealing with their club, and the scavengers, as well as the player. They may also be carrying injuries now. We wanted several positions filled the workload must be enormous. Negotiations can take forever. Yes we may have been approaching 1/2/3 selection for a position obviously DH wants his first choice if he can, but might also be trying to negotiate 2nd and third choice as well. He has my sympathy, but I would advise saying nothing approaching the transfer window, or certainly something bland to appease the hungry fans.

 

I think with Jones, it's a case of not risking playing him before the end of January in case he picks up another injury that might scupper any potential move. If nobody comes in for him then I think he might start to feature on the bench from the first game in February, when he will come on for the last 5 minutes and pick up a season ending injury.

I agree. If he goes, we will need at least 2 strikers in before the end of the window and at the moment, we seem to be struggling to even get one in.

 

I'd say you need to stop being so argumentative - chances are you won't listen to that though, will you?

 

I know he's an out of favour championship player but none-the-less he is still a championship player and I'm guessing he'll be on a decent wage. I know it's been said he's looking for a payout from Rotherham but it may just be a haggle over his wages that is keeping it rolling on and on.

 

A host of championship clubs? Do people actually read what they write before positng it on a website? He’s hardly good enough for league one.

I agree that managers shouldn't try to predict what's going to happen just to appease the fans.Having conversations about signing players based on verbal provisional agreements is disappointment waiting to happen.Nothing is done till they sign the contract.I know they want to convey they are making every effort but that's not the same as having deals done.

If there are 15/16 div one clubs looking to sign Surridge then we may as well forget him unless we find money nobody thinks we have.

It seems to me signing Ball would give us another loan opportunity and that should be a priority but he's already here,we need more bodies in to increase the options.

 

Sorry Ricc but there was a big shortfall on the scoreboard which the club had to fund. As for not doing anything about the pitch Rhodes and Lawn bodged it for years rather than doing it properly. You were right about Edin but don't overplay your hand. Not everything was awful under the German regime.

 

Try nearer 100k for scoreboard shortfall.
