    I've already said on here that every group of fans has their own set of idiots who ruin it for everyone else. It's just a shame.

    I don't see a problem if it's causing no harm to anyone else - it's just the height of stupidity to do it in a restaurant. Hope they're caught.

    Seems unfit, hopefully he turns out good - especially if Maja leaves this January (which we need if he won't sign his contract).

    His goal vs Oxford(?) was a deflection earlier in the season, but other than that hes not done too much considering he was our 'star signing'.

    Can’t imagine him being close to fitness with no pre season hardly at us (see joke of a coach we had) and then joining you and getting a lengthy injury.

    Will take him a few weeks to be up to speed. Doesn’t bang in goals for fun but he’s the sort of player you miss when he’s not playing and didn’t realise you needed. Links up play well for a big lad

    Those South Yorkshire police dogs are good, i remember seeing them at work at the Rotherham game a year or two back. Caught a fair few before the game.

    I took a holistic view; the thread was developing into a general discussion on pyrotechnics and City, so I felt it fitted in better with the previous discussion.

    I know exactly the history of our club thanks. so spare me your faux outrage

    It’s a genuine question. I’m not 100% sure they’re anything but annoying, and the link between what happened and idiots letting off a smoke bomb is slightly tenuous.

    Maybe this helps? From Middlesbrough; ‘An eight-year-old Boro fan suffered an asthma attack at the Riverside Stadiumafter a pyrotechnic was set off.
    ‘Now Boro have sent a reminder to fans not to bring any kind of pyrotechnic - flares and smoke bombs- to the ground following a series of incidents which they say could put lives at risk.
    In a statement the club said: “Last season there were several incidents involving pyrotechnics - usually flares - that caused serious health and safety issues and resulted in one eight-year-old fan suffering an asthma attack.

    “In another incident, a homemade device hit the roof of a stand and had the potential to cause serious injury or even death”.

    The offenders have been issued with football banning orders, and one has been excluded from the Riverside Stadium for five years’.

    Rather than just type up my own view, I tend to try and back it up with credible links.......

    ‘Flares, fireworks and smoke bombs are dangerous when used inappropriately. Flares – often manufactured for legitimate military, maritime or transport purposes – can burn as hot as 1,600°C for as long as an hour. Any burns caused by a flare are likely to be extreme. Fireworks can be equally dangerous, with a simple sparkler burning up to 2000°C and rockets travelling at up to 150 miles per hour. Smoke bombs can also burn at high temperatures.
