I like the bullishness of Hopkin in this interview and it seems like now he holds the card but to say he hopes to have 4 or 5 players in the team on NYD is setting yourself up for a fall. I hope he's right!!

I think it ended the moment Hopkin walked through the door. I'd argue that he wants more control than even Parky did and probably told them so

This statement of his is quite amazing. He's waited until Greg's gone and given it both barrel's. I think he's a bit harsh - we did sign a winger (albeit an injury prone one ) and Wyke went towards the end of the window, so not enough time to get someone else in

But I do think it's superb, if nothing more than it stops the nonsense that Rahic would never let anyone be in control

He's not thrown the palyers under a bus though as he's questioned why certain positions weren't covered, i.e. no criticism of the increasingly confident but still mentally fragile defence and central midfield

It's a shame he didn't offer this level of control to Parkinson, McCall, Grayson or a half credible manager in the summer. Doubt we'd be 7 points from safety if he did.

He can only piss with the dick he’s got and let’s face it even a truckload of viagra couldn’t put life in this one. Judge him when he’s had chance to recruit.

He's spot on. He's laid it bare.

I fully expect another piss poor window and excuses of 'it being hard to sign players in January'.

And if we're as potless as its being rumoured, then its moot anyway.

I don’t think it’s harsh. Those responsible have given us what we see today, bar the two Hopkin brought in.

No you can sign a player before or on the 1st of jan by 9am i think and is ok to play from that date. It's the only time a deal can be done and a player can play that same day. Usually though everything would be completed beforehand.

I believe the likelihood is he'll be manager if we're in League Two, however it certainly wouldn't be set in stone.

Stop acting and thinking like a loser.

Evans and other managers have questioned why and how we're bottom of the league for a reason?

You can technically sign them as in have everything agreed but you haven't officially signed them until the transfer has been cleared by the relevant authorities. And until that happens the player isn't officially registered. And to be eligible the player has to have been registered before Noon the day before the match. So any player 'signed' rather than picked up as a free agent will be unable to play on New Years Day.

I thought maybe there was something specific with EFL rules but it has no provisions for Jan 1st

I hope Hopkin is right but surely the other side of that coin is making space for new bodies and their wages by shipping out some of the current players. So, who will they be encouraging to find other options? TBH, I think Wright might be one of them. I would have thought Chicksen but Hopkin seems to like him, maybe Gibson and Devine on loan somewhere. How are our current loan crop set in terms of contracts? Can Miller, Ball and Seedorf go back in January? Going to be interesting to see how it pans out.

If Michael Collins or David Hopkin were the manager of current Manchester City team, would they win the league or have a chance of doing so? I’d say absolutely.
If Klopp was the manager of Huddersfield would they stay up? I’d say not.
It’s all about the players you cretin and feck all to do with the manager in the grand scheme of things
