I fully understand your views for not partaking in this - However your constructive aspect will always be welcome. I feel sure many of your views are being considered already. If not, THEN WHY NOT ?
The last thing we need are divided splinter groups, having no impact and little voice.

One really big issue that has nagged me all afternoon. We are trying to gather as much support for our cause as we can, OK ? And that includes any neutrals, with a 'passing' interest. Your logo therefore could read as ...........

"Save our City ? ........... Not on our watch !".

Try this .... "Destroy our City ? ........ Not on our watch".

i feel that there needs to be one simple message and those that are carrying that message may possibly at some point have to decide whether they can stick to the principle of what they are trying to achieve.

for instance; is the aim to have new owners and replace the current ones? if so, then what if the team start to do well again and our position improves, there is significant investment and things do change. would they still want the current owners to sell up? and what then if the new owners that may or may not come in don't live up to expectations? do they protest again, how long do those new owners get to turn things around?

also, there have been people talking of a boycott of matches. again, what if we start to do well or if we reach the 3rd round of the cup and get a 'glamour' tie. are those people willing to stick to their principles of not attending matches because the owners are still here? there were posters who stated they were going to boycott coventry and then within 24 hours changed their minds. there were posters saying they were going to protest but if we got a good cup tie they couldn't see themselves missing out on that. without principles then what is there?

to quote one of the most famous yorkshirewomen, charlotte bronte, "laws and principles are not for the times when there is no temptation: they are for such moments as this, when body and soul rise in mutiny against their rigour... if at my convenience i might break them, what would be their worth?"

people also need to be willing to take responsibility for what action they do take.

 

It may seem strange coming from me but I'm not in yet as it stands. I want Rupp and David out but I have to temper that with wanting my team to stay in the division. The main problem comes from any potential investors. We pretty much know the usual suspects are circling the carcass but don't want to pay anything for it. If we do stay up they will not pay the price Rupp and David want. As much as the squad is pathetic at the moment unfortunately it's still my team, it hurts when they lose as it does any time the claret and Amber loses. I just wish Rahic had done things differently, there was no reason for us to be in this mess and any sensible criticism aimed his way is fully justified as he has brought this all on himself. I still can't believe the errors he has made, almost all of them were easily avoidable if he really knew his football.

you need to decide on your aim / message before you fly your banner. if your aims are better investment then 'edin out' conflicts with that message. if your message is for a change in ownership and then we improve with more investment comes, does your aim change? flying a banner too early, may lead to eventual clashes in what your aims are and make it look like you don't know what you want. how are you raising funds? do your meetings take minutes? are these minutes shared? is the group open publicly to question or just for those that join? is there a group secretary? treasurer? list of members, etc, etc. who decides on what your message and aims are, is there a democratic vote? would those who didn't agree be happy to toe the party line or not? would these lead to a separate group? are you claiming to speak for all city fans or just the protest group?

there's a lot to think about before you start.

you also need to be factual in your claims against the owners, can't be using rumours that nobody is willing to put their name behind or they could be quickly de-bunked. also, i wouldn't have thought you would be able to use any claims by james mason or others without their approval.
