That money will go to offset losses. I've no problem with that as the club has to find itself.

 

But isn't CEO quoted as saying that the owner hasn't needed to put his hand in his pocket for 3 years as club is now sustainable on it's own merit's ?

I was agreeing with the honourable Arse that as we took Lewis as an up and coming keeper and made a profit on him, why wouldn't we do the same again and follow the same path rather than some older guy who's hardly played and has no re-sale value.

I would have expected Gent to have a dossier on 5 or 6 young keepers similar background to Lewis that we could go for.

I've no idea. That's why I used the word 'if'. The club said they turned down 2 bids in the summer. One was from Barnsley. I personally wouldn't see Carlisle offering more than Barnsley but I might be wrong. Its all 'undisclosed' though, so we don't know.

The whole debate on cost value is nonsense. The key for me is will it be reinvested Ito the squad budget. Nothing else matters .
