Any new stadium around Odsal would need to be served by a through rail link from the Aire Valley / Shipley / Apperley Bridge as that’s where the bulk of the fanbase live and it’s an absolute shit show driving through Bradford from the North side of the city.
It also needs retail and hospitality near the stadium as there’s currently bugger all in that area.

He clearly never paid it back, it would be easy to say yes it was paid when the question was asked as there is nothing to hide.

The fact a sitting MP and councillor was on the Bradford Bulls board at that stage when that loan was granted to a business that had no history was it has only been setup a few months is no better than when Covid loans were handed to companies barely a few months old.

She is clinging on for grim death. She didn't feel the need to resign following the Star Hobson enquiry.

I would rather they stay there as well, we don’t want our pitch to be ploughed up.

Better teams than us share stadiums in rugby league and stadiums of the likes of St Helens and Leigh accommodate dual use with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool playing women's and reserve games there due to new pitch technology used. Also Rugby League is predominantly played through the summer when the pitches are generally not open to damage.

Good point Broncs. I asked the Council in writing if the money had been paid back and what was the provision for interest on the loan The answer I got was “commercial confidentiality “ from which you can only assume no repayment and no interest provision otherwise they would have said all repaid including interest. Joke of a Council

I believe the situation can't be found with regards "freedom of information" they obviously had it well stiched up, I though things like loans had to be made available after a given time.

In reverse - living in Brighouse we have rarely had problems getting to VP by road or in the return journey. Regarding retail or hospitality - you could look at that as an opportunity for the club to increase profits was it to be based in Odsal
As for a rail link that would not happen.

Developing Valley parade for use by City and the Bulls ,would only need the Bradford end developed.
Compulsory purchase some of the houses behind , extend the pitch by a few yards and build a stand that joins the Midland road to the main stand 30000 capacity and new dressing rooms to boot.
Now where is my Euromillions ticket.

Bradford Bulls should be made to stand on their own two feet and fund every penny of any development wherever it it. Best thing for Odsal would be to sell it to Brisca and let them use it for stocks.

Better teams than us share grounds with better rugby teams than Bradford Bulls hence the Rugby team can contribute to upkeep. If the Bulls came here it would be them expecting yet another free ride. No thanks.

Exactly Onside, you cannot play both football and rugby on the same pitch.
Only football suffers due to the state of the pitch - and all those horrible lines all over the place!
Keep rugby at Odsal where it belongs!!

The days of Super league razmataz have gone they would pull in nothing near the gates of 25 years ago ............ how's this for an idea the Bulls fans who jumped on that bandwagon jump back on it again and actually help them get back to the top ?????

No will they hell they all disappeared on mass when the shizzer hit the fan............. if the council was to help any kind of stadium project then City surly should have priority over anyone not a few thousand who sit back waiting for another council bail out.

Simply fill it in and let them move elsewhere rather than this merry go around that we are simply bored of

It has taken years to get that pitch right, and this is the best I have seen it. Maybe the higher up clubs have the financial clout to keep putting it right we don’t and neither do our skint neighbours.

It wouldn't be ploughed up, those days have gone. Scrumaging in rugby league is non-existent these days, pitches are layed better plus our drainage has improved drastically and rugby players are athletes these days.

I wasn't talking about anyone having priority, I was suggesting a joint venture with the council owning the stadium.

More money to be made through landfill then selling off the land.

We are over a year on from this thread starting and absolutely nothing has changed in that time.

We all know nothing is going to happen in the foreseeable future(if ever) at Odsal.

Let the Bulls and their myopic fans sort themselves out and stop looking for handouts every time the shit hits the fan.
