It's got a rail link though. Low Moor is a 15 minute walk away, which for the vast majority should be plenty close enough. It's not as if the interchange or Forster Square are any closer and we rarely moan and groan about the use of those for games.

If I were to to guess, just like the Bulls fan on the tweet that was posted, it's a very self serving view.

Quite right General, the Local Authority stepped in and blocked the proposal for whatever reason. Think it's dead in the water now which may not be a bad thing for the Club and its failure to achieve Champ football in the 3 years Neville and Co promised. I can see them losing interest, in fact I suspect they already are.

If people didn't used to get upset over cartoon emojis you could be proudly wearing a "winner" badge right there.

Have a drink tonight to celebrate m9.

Yeah, Bulls were one of the best clubs in the World in their pomp and I bet if you told a random on holiday, as you get chatting like you do, that you were from Bradford, they’d more likely know the place (in a sporting sense, not in terms of riots etc) for it’s rugby league team of old, rather than its main football club (BPA are a non entity to me).

I don’t really understand rugby fully as I’ve never played it, but I find it really exciting to watch and used to go with the vouchers from the Taliban and Argus back in the day as a kid. Loved them firing stress balls (RL ones) into the crowd and all the music and dancers.

I took my lad to their playoff game vs York a few weeks ago as its on my doorstep and been wanting to go back to a game for a while. Enjoyed it.

Tempted to get an ST next year as kids go free, but the mrs is having none of it as football takes up too many weekends as it is. Might just end up paying in on the day a few times instead as it does feel like something positive is happening at the club again with an exciting coach coming in and key players retained.

……if Bulls do well and bring money to the city, that’s great news for Bradford, and only a good thing.

That's all well and good but they can't get into Super League without a major upgrade in facilities.
Something's got to give regarding Odsal or groundshare.

Have to disagree with the “Famous all over the world” anology BL.

It’s hardly played anywhere else in the world other than the old Empire and its dominions. Since the Bulls disappeared from spotlight we have seen a couple of French clubs, join the league but no can’t agree on that one whatsoever.

That may be true in Blackpool on Sun, Benidorm, but Turkey???

You could put a lot into the game day experience but it wouldn't make a difference as most fans would still arrive 5 minutes before kick off. It's an English football thing, when I watch football abroad it's a different mind set, fans are.in the ground way before kick off.

I suspect most people south of Shefiejd know of the Bulls or Northerns history in the world of Sport, nevermind the World

He's just guessing as he is using thread to put down the Bradford Bulls and it's supporters. I watched my first City game at Valley Parade in the early 60s and supported City home and away since 1974. However I am a Bradford and as such have also followed Bradford Northern/Bulls since 1967. I too don't want see anymore public money pumped into Odsal Stadium.

I agree. There will be far more people in the world that know about City's FA Cup win at Stamford Bridge than know anything about the Bulls.

If you look at the numbers, the councils of ALL COLOURS have been underfunded for years, to a tune of TWENTY % between 2010 -2020. Since then it’s fallen off a cliff. Central government have underfunded Labour areas even more. That’s not QAnon, that’s the Governments own data.
I look at the facts behind the spin.

How can they help fund upkeep, they can’t provide for a decent squad to get into the made for Sky League. They tried and went bust, USG.

So they are using gaslighting opinionated numbers to claim the council should fund their bid to be “ placed” in the Sky League…… Off and feck springs to mind.

    Facts are simple.

They would be promoted based on some odd ball formula including “performance” based on playing in a lower division. So they don’t meet the performance criteria when “promoted” so they are relegated again.. like I say facts are simple.

Is the fanzone still going behind the Kop?

it doesn’t help we are in this khazi league either. I went to half a dozen man City matches last year and the fans there are there earlier.

Big stage playing live music and bars, (ripoff) food vans and benches right outside. I guess more day trippers too given the club. Having tramline next to ground also helps. They can afford to push these things though and put it on the clubs stream.

Bulls are still only one of four teams to have won the Super League, despite their recent troubles. They’ll win it again before Cas, Wakefield or the Hull clubs do, too.

if a person doesn’t follow rugby then, no, they wouldn’t know who Bulls were, to anyone with in an interest in the sport, they know. Oppo fans often comment on socials and say SL needs Bulls. Even Leeds fans. Its a failing product and it needs the biggest clubs in it - just like I’d rather Leeds were in the PL than Luton or Bournemouth etc.

Rugby League has tried to expand beyond the M62 corridor but it hasn’t worked. Catalans have had some success but the Toronto experiment went belly up. It doesn’t really bother me if those international sides go bust as you can’t force these things.

The biggest sides should be in the top flight so better to have fans on the terraces than plastic support. The grading makes sense for RL, the state the sport is in.

great shame really. Its far more exciting than most of the stuff we see at City.

So if a person doesn’t follow rugby league about 3,000 south of Sheffield May know who the Bulls are , as for the rest of the world …….no matter how many times they have one the SL.

They ran a parallel universe akin to BFGs time at Valley Parade, almost identical in fact. All on borrowed money, a team and a ground built on sand only for the financial tide to come in . There is now zero chance of Northern being funded by a local philanthropist , again similar to our team BL?

I know quite a few on here stick their noses up at it but for me when it's played to its potential it's the best team sport in the world. I've seen game over the years where theres hardly a break in play, breathless at times. The most sensible option for the game is to first go to a 14 team league and get rid of the ridiculous loop fixtures but that's far too sensible for rugby league.
