    It feels more and more like we're moving towards 3-5-2. If that is the case a pacy skilful left wing back is essential. Perhaps even a right wing back as I'm not sure any of Ridehalgh, Haliday or Hendrie are best suited to a wingback system.

    I'd got the impression he'd be deployed higher up the pitch, perhaps competition for Walker as a no10, but if he has been signed as a wing back that would make sense.

    I’d be ok with the earlier rumour. The young lad from Sheff U can only improve, especially with experienced defenders Stubbs and Taylor, Platt I don’t think he can somehow.
    It all makes perfect sense now.
