Maybe this is who @Bradford End was alluding to yesterday when he said somebody was returning to the club?

 

Hope so. Been impressed with him whenever I've seen him. Plays as both a winger and midfielder too.

 

Who was it that once signed Kasper Schmeichel? Notts County? I don't remember them benefitting massively from that signing, so Ben Foster is no guarantee - an expensive gamble.

But if they're taking a number of similar gambles throughout their squad, the odds are in their favour. It's more whether Foster is one big roll of the dice or just one of many. I suspect they will have many eggs in many baskets.

I still don't think they walk the division though. Football just doesn't behave itself.

 

Kevin McDonald has left Exeter City

i just read he had left Exeter and his destination is Bradford, who knows though. it states he is set to sign for Bradford City. Just what i have read.

 

Smallwood and McDonald in midfield next season then. I’ve no idea what to expect anymore with what Mark Hughes is trying to do. Where was Williams going to play? I fully understand that McDonald has great experience and was a good player a few years ago but I really think the team needs an injection of pace and energy. We have too many players like Walker, Smallwood and Gilliead who are slow and ponderous.

I think we should just go back to basics, id go 442, maybe im old school but maybe we over complicate things when playing diamond formations etc. I agree though we definetly require some pace, the passing last season was so slow with no intent.

 

We have signed one lad with pace and potential and I am sure others will follow. Because if we don’t it will be a long season

 

Nobody plays 442 anymore. Midfield gets absolutely outplayed, outnumbered, swamped , overrun . Yes it’s old fashioned as 9/10 the opponent has 5 in the middle , if not 4.

Do you think Walker is quick? Gilliead is quick yes but Walker is far from quick.
