    My Aberdeen supporter mate sent me this just now

    That's a decent signing. He was OK for us. Good at Kilmarnock. Big defender who will get at least a few goals from corners

    The worry is the Walsall spell in 21/22. They couldn't wait to get rid of him.

    The Aberdeen & Kilmarnock spells were under the same Manager - McInnes.

    Don't think you can trust Walsall fans really. They slagged off most of their team the other year and three of their players moved on and finished in the team of the season.

    My take on JW is that I don't think it's the money it's definitely the location. He needs to be happy and if things weren't going to plan he'd struggle psychologically up here. Down there he's got a good support around him with family and friends so for me he's made the right call. I can't blame him for that. Good luck to him but hopefully he finishes below us next season
