    No, it doesn’t.

You made that up. Not as they have gone all season without scoring a goal is it?

Because of the space he'll have? Or you just back him to shine on the big stage?

I didn’t know whether to reply to you or not. I saw several incidents where the ref penalised us including the Stubbs booking and free kick when he clearly didn’t make any contact but feigned injury. Let’s hope the ref in Saturday is not influenced.
I know you have prophesied we will not go up and manage only 8th. I also didn’t think they would qualify but I am more than happy to be wrong. Please don’t make it obvious you are rooting for opposition. Just accept you are wrong, life is a lot easier.

All we want from a ref is fairness but with football fans biased eyes they never are

If Salford get there I think Watt will do well with all that space

1 win in 5 at home. Failed to beat Salford, Stevenage, Stockport and Northampton so struggling against the better sides in the division recently.

8th at best which means his expectations were probably 11th or 12th. Hughes and Sparks didnt sign players good enough for a promotion challenge......

He waxed lyrical over Swindon and Mansfield too LOL

Carlisle posed a danger with every free kick and corner. Hodges was reputed to be a free kick specialist yet we under hit or over hit many of ours. We wasted an opportunity to press home an advantage last night and I was amazed we showed no urgency in the latter stages, eg slowly walking to take corners. The Peterborough result showed how you tackle the first leg of play off games, if you've got the perceived disadvantage of the home tie.

Whilst I don't agree with Paul Simpson's criticism of the ref, I do feel he's more savvy than Hughes and we'll have to fare far better than last night, if we're to progress.

Not rooting for the opposition at all! Thought the ref gave us a lot. Their number 8 got taken out on the half way line no free kick. Their pen claim looked a pen. Throw ins given to us instead of them.

Do I think Cook should’ve had a free kick in the first half- Yes.

You can go against City you know. You are not 12! It doesn’t mean I wasn’t pleased the ref was a home fan.

I agree on Banks but the size of the pitch at Wembley bothers me. I can't see it suiting our play at all. Maybe we can grind the opposition down with our possession play but when I think of Wembley I think of searching balls down the channel and quick counter attacks suited to pacey outlets. It's just not our game.

    Anyway let's get there first.

That was never a penalty, the forward was backing in as much as Stubbs was shirt pulling, he then decided to throw himself to the ground, like a few of their players. The one where Stubbs was penalised first half a perfect example.

Was just thinking that. Those wide open spaces at Wembley ain't suited to a midfield that doesn't move much.

Wembley pitch is an incredible 12 feet wider than ours and 6 feet longer, that's some difference.

I played at Wembley stadium in 1996 before the refurbishment and It felt huge compared to any other pitch I had played on

Was it just the images on TV or has Cook piled on the pounds recently? He looks overweight, especially round the middle!
