Home Ticket Fiasco vs Carlisle

While we're waiting to hear our punishment for smoke bombs at Crewe and other games. Probably not a sensible move in the circumstances!

 

Apparently they pick the seats they want. The club have no control over it. Just wondering where they are putting on this extra hospitality as we manage to sit there when hospitality is full at other games, so there are already enough seats reserved for a full booking of hospitality.

 

Just seen that Carlisle online system is now telling people that they have sold out for the match at VP

 

The only way Salford will shift 10,000 tickets for Wembley is if they give evert BBC employee, every relative of a BBC employee, and every dog/ cat/ rabbit owned by a BBC employee two tickets each.

In what configuration can the club give out 2000 away tickets while having home fans in the TL Stand?

as a clue you cannot move the segregation barrier in the midland road stand.

also as a side note, our normal away allocation is HIGHER that what we have given to Carlisle. Please look at my Grimsby town post for the numbers. Their allocation for VP was 2700ish

How many of our fans have complained , that we get poor allocations at away games . The match will not be a sell out , we have the room , some of our fans will have to move , a bit of work to swap seats, Carlisle get 400 more than we are obliged to supply. Just because the Salfords or Mk Dons want to play billy big bollocks shithouses, does not mean we have to.
Carlisle might not do the same in return, well that looks poor on them , especially with large area's of empty stadiums, were bums can be put on seats. You do not get blocked out seats at rugby, cricket , the cinema or theatre's. Idiot so called football fans are the cause of things like this.
I am not advocating fans all mixing together, but you should be able to attend without the fear of idiots intent on causing mayhem. including ours and their stupid flares.

 

Agreed, it was unnecessary but I was just trying to put a positive spin on it. Desperately trying to stay optimistic off the field as performances aren't quite matching it on the field at the moment!

Hopefully we see an upturn in that but either way, it's a couple of nervy weeks ahead.

It must be for hospitality that is unfortunate though. Hopefully they do something to sweeten it for you but i suppose its outside a season ticket.

in the home leg against Millwall in 2016 I managed to buy a ticket in Midland Road.

When I arrived at the game I realised my seat was actually under the cover in block E. I told a steward and was escorted around the pitch (passed the Millwall scum) into a seat in main stand block A.

 

You can move the away allocation and simply give them 2,000 tickets, that's how.

You already know my view from my post #623 in this thread. We'll just have to disagree on this.

you are clutching at straws to find an opportunity to bash the club.

This is what I thought until being prompted to re-read RS's e-mail response which was posted on here fairly early into the debacle. We can interpret these things differently, but I am sure Ryan is basically saying that this was the only seat configuration available "whilst" accommodating home fans in the TS Dallas stand. This more than suggests to me that it was the other way round: somebody has made the decision that home fans are going in there, and told the minions to make it work ("work" may be a bit misleading given what has subsequently happened ).

As such I now think the incorrect allocating of too many away seats is neither here nor there in the decision to move home fans from those sections in the MR; as, if only at 2000 seats, it would still be the only way (without effecting other parts of the ground) to configure those two stands in that way.

And I think what has misled me is the conflation of and equating the two as "priorities" in the e-mail. But of course I could be wrong.

 

Move the away allocation to where? And how would you segregate the home and away fans?

It still doesn't explain why he thought we had to give Carlisle an allocation of 2,440. That is completely wrong.

 

Stick the Carlisle fans in the North west, like they did with Manure utd in the premiership days, what a decision that was.

Just the same way they are doing now, but without giving them extra seats just the 2,000 they are entitled too.
