Agreed he wasn't his best today but still miles ahead of Platt. As regards to signing him up I think we have no chance if Town go down, but if they stay up which now looks a possibility we could get another loan but only if we go u to L1.

 

I might be wrong, but Smallwood strikes me as a Derek Adams type. He seems really dour on the field, unhappy, blaming people for stuff.

 

For what it's worth, Critchlows contract expires this summer. Huddersfield do have a 1 year option on the deal, but he turns 24 in the summer. If they are in the champ and feel like he's not going to be up to scratch at that level, I'd would be a surprise to see them trigger it.

 

I'm not entirely sure they'd trigger it if they are relegated either. A lot will depend on who's going to be in charge for them next season and whether they fancy him or not.

None of us know him well enough to know what sort of a person he is, but to make extremely serious claims like that without any back up / follow up seems unusual. I've never known any City fans to do this to our own players.

If he hasn't shown evidence/reported it then there's a chance he could just be deflecting his awful performance away from the negative attention being on him and turning it into sympathy.

The club and @wetherbywhaler need to stop putting down the Bradford economy though. Not helping and it’s out of order by them. Not saying it’s their fault for things like this but it’s utterly foolish to make out we do cheap season tickets because of the state of Bradford economy because you then get idiots who act worthless.

It’s poor the club do this. Many fans like in decent places in Bradford and earn good money. Let’s not give the low levels life to act like that. Bradford Council make the same mistake.

This guy should be traced banned for life and and face any legal consequences. The lad has been excellent for us until the last two games. But even if the lad had been rubbish all season there is Zero excuse for it

 

If they can identify the culprit, then it should be covered under the Offences Against the Person Act 1861, Section 16 (up to 10 years imprisonment), the Malicious Communications Act 1988, Section 1 (up to 2 years) or the Communications Act 2003, Section 127 (up to 6 months). The new Online Safety Bill should be passed soon. That will expand the net for offences and toughen up penalties for some more serious online threats of menace. There's plenty of scope for prosecuting a death threats amongst that lot.
