Iindeed but the truth is its the home form thats killed our season for the autos!

 

As I said earlier in the thread, nothing in this match should surprise us because what we saw is what we've seen all season;

- one half of pretty poor football
- reliance on Cook for goals
- trying to sit on a goal lead and retreating backwards
- trying to hold onto a game with the same two tired central midfielders who started the game

Clayton's injury has hurt us because Hughes clearly doesn't trust East. We needed fresh legs in the middle to counter their subs. We're back to where we were before Christmas with the team really.

Sorry folks but that game is just the same as many others we've seen and time and again we've shown we're not consistent enough even in a match to be certain of a win.

Can't see us beating Northampton. They've kicked on again now.

 

Right happy clappers I'm not going to spend to much time on here. Personal decision for a number of weeks.

So. The game was lost in the first half.

Spot on. We have the same flaws on display all the time. Games like today aren't the exception, they're the rule.

 

gutted but sadly that wasn't a surprise, poor start ,and then trying to get a result on tight margins is always a risky strategy.

Playoffs are still achievable maybe more, hopefully we go at Northampton from the off the way the Gills to did us. We might go into the last game needing a win for the playoffs.

 

Hope I'm wrong but it's looking tough for us. One point out of six and conceding so late in the game is a real confidence blow for the team.

 

Derbyshire coming on when trying to hold onto a lead made no sense defensively.

 

It was just poor play by Lewis, if he does his job and punches it we win 2-1 and everyone says great turnaround. Don’t defend when players bottle it.

 

Tbf he had just had to make 2 really good saves.

 

He had but it’s his job, can’t say well I’ve made some saves so I don’t need to punch it.

 

Difference is Northampton won't play first 45mins like we did.

 

Not gonna throw lewis under the bus. How many points have him and cook got us this season. Fingers need to be pointed at others in this team, and lack of goals from players not called cook.

 

10 points dropped in injury time so far this season is nothing shot of a disgrace. In a league where timewasting and game management is the usp, we are comfortably the worst at it.

We need to stop blaming referees and start looking at tactics and game management. We don't deserve promotion ....

Its a lack of character and resilience. Simple as that. Easier to just blame the ref.

 

The reality is as soon as that equaliser went in combined with other results, my optimism for the autos went to the despair of probably not making the playoffs now.
