We never got down the sides tonight. Banks missed the runs and space that Halliday would usually create, Nevers didn’t get past the defender once, so there was no outlet out wide. I thought Osadebe showed glimpses of his talent, but I’m so nervous every time he goes in for a tackle. The intelligent runs from Walker just haven’t been there for me this season. He’s playing more the enforcer role than the creator we need.
It’s going to be tough on Saturday because I can’t see Chapman playing again for a few weeks, looks like Hendrie has done his calf and who knows what’s happened to Halliday. One change you can deal with but 3 to the starting 11 at this stage is worrying. I just hope Threlkeld hasn’t been eating too many pies this year.

The ball in tonight from Banks was very similar to the one against Grimsby that Derbyshire put across and he finished it like he'd do in training, tonight he seemed to snatch at it and made a right mess of it, that goes in after 15 minutes were on our way but he was not alone with regards poor finishing tonight, I don't have a problem with players missing but make the keeper work, the one that rolled out to Smallwood he should have done better that hitting the top of the stand.

I’ve said for a while that this season has that 79/80 look to it. Then 5 teams broke away and when the music stopped it was City who didn’t have a chair and finished 5th. This time 8 have broken away and 1 team will be in the dreaded 8th place. Let’s hope it’s not City.

True. Even though they lost, they were still able to celebrate at the final whistle as results elsewhere have confirmed they are promoted. Maybe that's enough for them and they'll be kind to us on the 8th May

 

Yes we didn't help our cause tonight, but last Saturday we won at Rochdale and a few results went our way tonight we should have got something from the game and few results went against us, when have Bradford City made football an easy watch especially when we look to be getting it together on the final run in.

I hope were not wanting anything from the last game of the season mate, if we miss out on an auto then we have to make sure we finish 4th at worst I don't want to be attending that game knowing if we lost were in the kahzi league for at least another season.

 

We only need to score the one, as I posted tonight that game was always going to be won by a single goal if we had scored it I believe our defence would have been capable of holding that lead which recently we have done pretty well, but yes its always great to know you have other players who can hit the net if Cook doesn't.

 

Every single team fighting for autos has dropped needless points. On Saturday, we won an everyone around us dropped points. Today was the total opposite. We can still reach the autos, But we need to believe in ourselves an pick ourselves up. Worst case scenario, We dont get autos, at least we go into the Play Offs firing on all cylinders. The change to the formation when Hendrie went off was the changing factor to the result for me. We immediately looked more exposed through the middle without Gillead.
