Orient and Gillingham played out a disgraceful last 10mins.

Orient came back onto pitch after knowing promoted due to our loss and barely moved didn't touch ball for 7mins, players between.2 teams hugging while play going on.

Imagine if you'd bet on orient

Serious question... Would you have broke more than a sweat knowing the ultimate result?

 

People are saying Orient winning the league won’t effect them last game of the season, for me it will it’s human nature. Would I want to risk an injury going into the summer when I’ve already won the league? Absolutely not. Doesn’t mean we will win like but it does impact things, just ask Fulham last game of last season.

 

It also guaranteed Gillingham's safety. Both sides content with the result after a 12 minute floodlight failure. Disgraceful but I guess that is the shithousery you get in this godforsaken league

 

From what I've read on here professionals always play to win when it's clear that is not the case. You could say with the caveat that result was immaterial but then that was my whole point all along about our game with Orient. If they have won the league already how will that be any different to the last ten minutes last night as both scenarios have nothing to play for in terms of affecting the final standings?

 

Well that was a long arse drive!

I don't get the negativity on here though. Imagine we've already played Crewe and picked up a win with Stevenage also winning their game. That would mean we're 3 points (with a better goal difference) behind 3rd placed Northampton and we've also got to play them.

Promotion is in our own hands and some of you lot are acting like we're miles away from even sneaking in 7th.

We dominated that first half, didn't score and slowly Swindon grew into the game and nicked it late.That's just football at this level.

So onto Gillingham, 3 more points and reading everyone on here posting that we're somehow still going up as champions!

 

I would want them both. I don’t think we have a striker that can manage a one up top.
