yes Kev, a couple. They didn’t lead to anything. One was almost from the byline in the second half but led to nothing.

it wasn’t really a game where the full backs were too involved going forward though. Had Halliday played it would have made no difference to the outcome yesterday.

Halliday is the better player, though.

Ignore him Kev. He recently described Steve Evans tenure of Third placed Stevenage as "abject failure".

It was hard to even work out if he was serious but his 7 replies to the topic suggests that he absolutely was.

 

I can accept that but go back and look at results without Cook in the side.

If we had an alternative then fine but dropping the highest scorer in the football league at the business end of the season, when we also don't have a genuine replacement is absolute suicide!

Goals give Cook confidence, not a few games sat getting splinters in his arse!

 

The Crichlow one was arguably our best chance of the match. I didn't see much of the match last night but as soon as the team sheet was posted I already knew you wouldn't be able to resist having a dig

Still whatever sounds you put on it the fact remains that the club on and off the field have moved forward in terms of Sponsorship and league posistion

 

Cone on, we haven't won four on the trot all season and two of those games are against top & second.

The dream was nice, but its over. Concentrate on the playoffs and getting a home tie second.

I agree some will say Cook doesn't look the same player and is going through a lean spell (as you say not scored in two games) but Hughes would be a mad man with 4 Cup finals to play to even contemplate dropping Cook.
Without doubt the chance Cook missed was poor but I think Critchlow should have scored from his header and for a player of his pedigree Smallwood should have done far better with his chance, everything about the ball coming out to him set him up for a strike on goal but to miss hit it like he did was poor IMO https://www.skysports.com/watch/video/sports/football/competitions/league-two/12860562/swindon-1-0-bradford-league-two-highlights, having said that Lewis made two saves that kept us in the game, maybe we didn't do enough overall to win the game but we certainly deserved something from it.

 

No manager in their right mind would drop the leagues leading goalscorer in the last 4 games. I can't even believe it's being discussed.

That needs looking into by the powers that be, and both clubs being answerable for that last 10 minutes spell, how unfair on teams below Gillingham.

 

Agreed. I couldnt sleep last night, I felt like I had been punched in the stomach. Today I'm more chilled and concentrating on getting the points required to see off Salford.

Sadly, Salford have what looks like the easiest run in, and although they are capable of messing it up at home, I dont think they will against Carlisle who only seem to draw at the moment.

I wouldnt put it past us to drop six points with three draws. We have a battle on our hands to even keep hold of the play off place and we need to be looking behind us now rather than above us. If we let 7th slip by stealth it will be a disaster, one for which Hughes should be called in question for.
