Without doubt when Chapman went off he was missed, I thought Nevers might step up, unfortunately he didn't and we lost any width Chapman gave us,

My ignore list is almost at the same level of goals Cook has bagged this season. Not sure how many can have such stupid thoughts and opinions on football at times. It's equally as bad as those who get upset about people being emotional when they've invested a lot into Bradford City and it's disappointing when we have to waste Tuesday nights watching awful performances like that second half against teams like Swindon who should be on holiday

 

I don't often criticise the lad but he looked well off the pace tonight.

 

With the very difficult final week a win on Saturday is an absolute must or the play offs are in danger

 

Well we’ve been stupidly inconsistent at the wrong times all season and it’s infuriating. It’s alright the players walking around the pitch giving it all the embarrassing “up the fu***** chickens” with the fans after beating a relegated Rochdale but then once again cocking it up 3 days later against a Swindon team who hadn’t won in their previous 9.

 

Mansfield will beat Stevenage on Saturday. We will beat Gillingham. We then get excited again.

 

that’s the thing we have to get right next season which ever league we are in ........... the loan market we’ve done well on some but some have been a waste of time tonight Nevers had a big chance to step up and failed .......... let’s just hope Chapmans injury ain’t that bad because I wouldn’t fancy Nevers going into the last few games

he’s probably shattered and in all honesty it’s been coming for weeks but what can you do when he’s replacements don’t off much ideally we secure a playoff spot sooner rather than later then rest him up till the playoffs ..........

 

Yeah have to agree. Shown in the way he snapped or tried to blast at chances tonight where we’re used to seeing him have much more composure.

Hopefully on Saturday he will have a an extra spring in his step to make up for it, like a few others.

 

I'm afraid tonight summed up our season: grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory. We've lost to some poor teams at home, we lost tonight when a win would have put us in a great position for the autos.
Ultimately we haven't been good enough for an auto spot.

 

you failed to mention the unbeaten run going into that game and I’m sure Rochdale weren’t relegated at the time ............. just calm down tha was never ever gonna be straightforward

 

You really wouldnt rule it out! Its the hope that kills you! Win on Sat and it does set up the Northampton game. Strangely I would be confident of a win there but equally it would be so typical City to do that and then lose at Crewe!!!

Unfortunately Cook was woeful tonight and when he doesn’t deliver there isn’t anyone to take over the scoring mantle.

 

I said the other day, he looked tired, but can’t be rested unless he is injured. I think it is an emotional thing. He wants to score and when he doesn’t his. head goes down

 

Agree for the most of the season, but Rochdale showed we don’t have to rely on Cook.
Banks, Walker, Crichlow as well Cook all had chances we should have done better with tonight.
