    Not much more I could add to that critique, except maybe add some good old Anglo-Saxon intensifiers -- but that would probably, no, certainly, break the forum's rules on swearing! Maybe we should bring back the 'poop' emoji -- this "design" deserves it. Another example of a solution looking for a problem.

    Even the boar's head would be better (I confess I actually like that one) despite us being bantams.

    Well the club should at least consider what is on Bantam Talk.

    The membership is, give or take a few, the equivalent to 10% of the number of Season Ticket holders!

    Being a vector doesn't change the problem, the very problem you mention when you say "adapt where needed". When you are having to adapt the logo's core design for different uses you have a problem with the logo.

    And it's not just official use either, you want a consistent use of the logo even outside official channels and when you have situations like they showed where 3rd parties are left with making their own changes to make it work with how they are looking to use it them again you have a problem

    Do you think the logo presented today works for all mediums? And is future proof no- i imagine there a newer badge manufacturing techniques that could be sourced, evolving the logo for new mediums is what should happen

    Nothing will convince me that this wasn't what was supposed to be the finished article.

    Too much has clearly gone into this for it to be a proposal.

    70 page supporters pack, when have we ever done that before for anything. It's so unlike city.

    There is even an end date when describing the current badge (1991-2022)

    There terminology and the actual release video, there is no way they would have gone to this trouble.

    It's an horrible design, and all I can say is balls to the survey because they will do as they wish anyway. It's there in the supporters pack, 78% of fans didn't want BCAFC to form part of a new crest. They put BCAFC in there and went on to make a mess of that too.

    And as for the Warm reception made towards to the membership crest, don't even get me started. Everyone hates that too

    But this isn't something that's an opinion, you have bloody evidence that THEY SHOW showing how the current badge forces an inconsistent use both officially and unofficially. I've also outlined how the badge has issues with its core design if you are to make it into an enamel pin and would require significant reworking to make it suitable.

    This isn't about if you like the new design or the old design where it is an opinion, this is about actual indisputable facts where you can't have an opinion.

    Yes, the new logo will work in pretty much every medium there currently is. Will that be the case in 30 years' time? Most likely not because there will be some factor that's not even on the table right now but will be a big thing in future but without a time machine you can't design around those factors. For that very reason, no logo is future-proof, there will always need to be at the very minimum evolution and when it's completely unfit for a purpose like the current logo a full-on redesign. The only thing really that future-proofs a logo is that the logo is so iconic almost everyone in the world knows it, for example, the Ferrari Logo or the Apple Logo (although both of those have significantly fewer core issues, it would be much easier to evolve those slightly to be more suitable than Citys)

    Not sure how difficult an enamel pin is to make? Perhaps @SimonW@SimonW can explain.

    I have a couple of these (sorry if the photo is a little dark). I would have thought they were far more difficult to design/manufacture.

    Annoyingly it wont paste the picture in, but it is a City Gent character badge!
