How about peddles on the seats connected to a giant dynamo. We could all get fit and probably feel more knackered than the players come full time.

Based on the latest set of accounts available at companies house, to the 30th June 2021 (The account to 30th June 2022 are not due to be filed until 31st March 2023) the total heat and light costs were £98k. The year before they were £145k. The 2020 season ended early due to Covid and the 2021 season was played behind closed doors so these comparisons aren't the best, but each one did have the November to March period played at a 3pm kick off. So say costs have doubled since 2020 the last nearly full season prior to Covid thats £300k as an estimate.

That £300k will realistically only change slightly if the game is played at 1pm or at 3pm and unless BCAFC want to come forward with some figures, it appears the cost trying to be saved here is a fraction of what is being paid on wages, which was £3m a year in these accounts and judging by the squad now, probably closer to £4m.

    No.

    Leave it alone.

The longer city stay in the playoff more people will come and pay on the day. That help pay the bills.

If not I'm sure the CEO will be more than happy to take a pay cut..

Better still buy the ground back and save even more money in not paying rent.

Ah but for 2 years they sold season tickets to attend the ground, not watch on iFollow for same price.
They can move the kick off to any date or time they choose and there’s nothing you can do about it.
    I actually would prefer 1pm.

The latest accounts show the cost of the ground rent at £434k per year.
I'm not sure how much the ground would cost to buy back but even for £5m that money would need to be found and just offsets the next 12 years rent payments.
It's not suddenly free if we buy the ground back.

1pm makes getting there for KO from Shropshire an impossibility for me. I'm out.

The players are also affected by changes to their routine for an earlier kick off.
Interestingly the survey closes before Saturday's Harrogate match.

1pm kick offs also rule out ifollow to UK based fans. 12.30 would let fans get access to any game scheduled at that time, so anyone unable to make a game could be offered an ifollow stream in return

Some people just dont get that to buy the ground back we would need a loan at commercial rates, which will soon be over 10%. It's not realistic or right to expect Stephan to buy it back with his own money, we are a Ltd Company and shareholders of such arent expected to buy assets for the company.

The more interest rates go up, the more cost effective renting becomes.

I voted yes, but added that only if the overwhelming response was yes so people who work on a saturday morning aren't discriminated against. The idea of a whip round to help with electricity bills isn't as daft as it sounds. I'd chip in £20 for it, or ask everyone who attends to pay a £1 levy on the gate. That would cover it.

Visiting clubs would want to be at the ground for around 11.00 am, don't think that would go down well ...
