No one in this day or age, or any other age, should attend a sporting event where they is any risk to their health and safety. Yet someone has clearly decided that should not be the case and has wilfully and indiscriminately endangered others. It's obvious that most, if not all, those people who stand or sit around the culprit simply don't have the guts to step forward and do the right thing, probably because they are cowardly, easily influenced and fearful of breaking ranks. It is my hope that one of them is brave enough to show some humanity and identify the culprit but sadly, these idiots don't have the balls because they follow the pack and can't think or act for themselves.

 

Name and shame the Twit and maybe the other shit for brains will stop doing it ............. I thought someone actually set it off from the lower tier ............. but to launch it from that height is fooking shocking let’s hope they get the Twit

Banning orders apply to both equally

 

I was sat about 10 rows back in block K near the aisle with block L and the flare went over my head into the bottom tier.
It definitely came from the back of block K where they were all stood up.
Fecking idiot.

The problem is these days, a lot of people are just plain thick - I do wonder how some people get through the day they’re that dim.

On another note, CCTV systems are notoriously poor especially if they haven’t been upgraded in the last 10 years - there are high quality systems available these days. City may be as well upgrading their CCTV if it hasn’t been done in the last decade…. but as always these things cost money.

The issue you have is it is almost impossible it check everyone going into the stadium and lets be honest not everyone needs checking because 99% of the people going have no intention of acting like dickheads, nor would ever thing of lobbing anything off the top tier of the kop.

On Saturday it was absolutely boiling so I took 4 bottles of water to the game and yes I did have my bag checked on the way in and it was fine and I was waved through. Actions like those of the idiots throwing things more than usually end with the total banning of bags being brought in at all, so for the few nob heads everyone tends to suffer.

I hope they plaster the CCTV footage over the club website as a warning to any other idiots who might feel the urge to do the same.

 

The only thing I have to question is people asking for a lifetime ban. A touch Draconian me thinks. Yes it's an idiotic thing to do but if a culprit is found then a few years ban and educating on why we at Bradford find 'smoke bombs'so abhorrent. Pyrotechnics are a major part of European football and to be fair do look spectacular. But we have a unique history, one which dictates these devices should never set foot in Valley Parade.

 

However spectacular they may look they are dangerous to set off in a confined space with lots of people, never mind throwing them from the upper tier of a stadium.
I think the club is well within its rights to decide they do not want people who do this sort of thing in their ground.

 

Bradford City need to start learning and doing more to help themselves. Instead of it being about Sparks CV.

Start to educate the idiots and yes lifetime bans should be in place. Any anti sociable behaviour is not on and needs to be stamped out. If you are a racist idiot in 2022 then you need to understand that you are uneducated and thick. If you want to throw flares then you need to be be suffer a lifetime ban and a police record.

I don't argue that. What I argue is folk screaming for lifetime bans for something that is stupid.

 

We let people out of prison for murder or manslaughter if they are deemed to be no longer a threat to society. By all means take away someone's right to go to games. But for the rest of their lives? Really?

 

Give them community service orders, working for nothing in a carwash for example.
