Loyalty Points & Priority for Away Matches

    Actually the wording does not use the term purchasing.

    Below is the exact terms on the club’s website.

    Loyalty points will be awarded to each supporter - by 31 July 2021 - on the following basis:

    - Purchasing a season ticket: 150 loyalty points

    - Purchasing an Away Priority membership: 50 loyalty points

    - Purchasing a 1903 Club membership: 40 loyalty points

    - Attending a home fixture: 20 loyalty points

    - Attending an away fixture: 10 loyalty points

    Bullet point four says the points are allocated for attending, very different from purchasing in bullet points one and two.

    There's an opportunity for people to check now.

    I have just received an extra 20 points, presumably for the home match v Doncaster Rovers, which I attended.

    So, of those season ticket holders that couldn't attend, have you received the 20 points?

    Because of injury I was limited to one away game last season (Orient). This season I went to the Sunderland pre season game. So if points were allocated just on purchases, I should have 880, but only seem to have 840!

    Sounds like you need a similar set of schemes to the West Ham system.
    Club Cash (used to be e-purse) where you accrue points for purchases from the bars, food, club shop etc, which can then be used against your next years ST, cup tickets, seat upgrades or even more over priced refreshments. If as an ST holder you can't attend, the Club will resell via the Ticket Exchange and you get credited to your club cash account.
    Away tickets are allocated under the Away Scheme which currently has a limit of approx 3,500. The rules can be a bit onerous and ar no firm guarantee of a seat, Bournemouth being the obvious difficult one. Purchase of away tickets count to Club Cash, but can't be used for buying away tickets. The only other way to get an away priority is if you were one of the other 808 mugs who bought Bonds in 1991 @£950 a pop.

    The only issue is it probably needs an IT budget slightly north of City's playing budget !

    As you say fans have purchase for a season ticket they should not be penalised if they cant make it to a game for whatever reason.

    Yes, I have had my points upgraded from 910 to 930 despite not being able attend the Doncaster match.

    So it looks like the wording of the scheme is misleading. It seems you don't have to actually attend the home games to get the points, if you are a season ticket holder.

    That's probably it then.

    21/22 season ticket - 150 points
    21/22 home league matches - 460 points
    22/23 season ticket - 150 points

    That gets you to 760 points. Leyton Orient away would get you to 770 points, then there's any home cup matches you purchased tickets for, plus Sunderland and, today, Doncaster has been added.

    A small price to be paid by the club if it achieves @Loyalbantam@Loyalbantam 's criteria for a proper away loyalty system rather than the club's own Tesco card version! ;)

    I spent all last season using my camra membership card to get in and I've got 1060 loyalty points, I even get 20% off girlington taxis with it.

    In fact, Harrogate Town laid on transport and a meal for me when we played there. You've either got it or you ain't.

    I wish people would stop whinging about this subject people who travel the most have a big advantage over others and I suppose that’s right.
    But what is loyalty is it loyal to have bought a season ticket for decades long before they were cheap as chips. Is it loyalty when people travel mikes to home games. Is it loyalty when people turn up for unpopular games. Just accept the status quo and get on with it

    I still think the IT gremlins on this are there. Last time I looked 20 points were added for each game attended / purchased last year. Now I can't see them at all. My points have gone up by 20 since the weekend, presumably for the Doncaster game that I attended. It isn't listed anywhere in the purchase history.
    Still issues I think.

    If you are a season ticket holder then your home league points will be listed under your season ticket purchase.
