Read @Dennis@Dennis post he's quite right in what he says with regards the rent rise, even more worrying Edin wasn't aware of it, just who did their due diligence.
Maybe a fellow poster on here could provide you with the details, as he was involved in the resent rent rise.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing @Two Legs@Two Legs, no one was complaining when Gibb bought the ground to give the new owner breathing space.

The last increase I was lead to believe was 13.5% which over the five year period (2013 to 2018) works out at an annual increase of 2.7%, No doubt the new rent increase will be somewhere the same for the period 2018 to 2023

If it is true that neither of the owners knew about the rent rises they need to be suing whoever did their due diligence as that was public knowledge, unless a change of £50k a year isn’t substantial enough if the annual overall spend to be classed as important.

The owners may well say that the club isn't for sale, but things can quickly change. At the end of the day they have never owned a football club before and they have purchased Bradford City with a particular model in mind, if that model fails then they have two choices, sell or invest their own money into the club. If we are in the bottom four come December and the fans are screaming bloody murder they might very quickly change their minds.

Good post @Skp@Skp, I'm sure if their model seems to be failing the last thing Stefan will do is give the ego that is Edin more money, remember Stefan Rupp has no day-to-day involvement in the club. He owns the majority of Bradford City but also has no knowledge about the day to day running a football club, I'd say Edin has little knowledge apart from him playing a bit part back in Germany for Stuttgart Kickers.

We were in the bottom four of league two in 2011 and 2012 under the now wonderful Rhodes and Lawn and I don't remember fans screaming bloody murder. I think their model was failing a bit then.

You are joking @Captain Grumpy@Captain Grumpy, they got stick right up to them selling the club, and in some cases after they'd sold the club, some saying they were to blame for the new owners not spending after they said they would only sell to owners who could take the club forward.

It will certainly not be up to Rahic if the club is sold, Rupp holds all the aces and as he seems totally disinterested and was allegedly very upset and offended by the Hitler spoof thing after McCall was sacked I wouldn’t be surprised if he got out whilst it’s still holds some value. They won’t get back what they paid and the investment in the youth set up but it’ll be a hell of a lot more than it will be worth in 12 months time should we get relegated (which I think is a very realistic scenario)

Very true, with regards selling the club Stefan is the money man and if it does go tits up then I agree Stefan may find he won't get back what he paid for the club
With regards the Gibb/Tordoff interest I think that is as far is it will go at the minute, I do believe Stefan has no interest of selling the club at the moment but things can change quickly as your above comment.
If that situation did arise Stefan would not address the situation with more of his own Euro's, he's made it quite plain it must be self financing, so yes you can never say never, just a little strange that a well respected journalist went public with that tweeter.

Rhodes and Lawn had appointed Parky and let him get on with his job, it wasn't all plain sailing for R&L but I think if we have a poor start the atmosphere will quickly become toxic in a way R&L never experienced.

As far as a lot of supporters are concerned Edin and Stefan don't have much credit left in the goodwill bank. Relegation would be too high a price to pay for sticking with their model.

Looks like we fans have got a job to do to save our club. More Hitler spoofs and Nazi guard videos could see them off.

You can only drive them out if there is somebody to buy and they want to sell. You only have to look at Coventry, Orient, Blackpool and Blackburn to see very unpopular owners who are still there after years of protests.

I am firmly in the camp of largely agreeing with their overall strategy but thinking they are executing it completely in the wrong way and alienating all the people they need on their side, local business and fans.

Having said that in my opinion I’d rather have a committed Rupp and Rahic trying their best, accepting they’re making mistakes and learning from them, than a Rupp and Rahic who have lost all interest, are never seen in Bradford but can’t find a buyer. Be careful what you wish for.
