Yep, somethings brewing. I'm at City this morning, had a job there. Just seen a guy who looks famiar, clearly a player, with 2 blokes in suits, who I assume are agents, arrive at reception. He was greeted as I was leaving.

 

I wasn't there but have it from a good source (and trusted friend) that Mark was indicating Shaun Long from Southampton. The same Long who has now signed for Reading!. As a follow up 24 hours later Mark was saying to a friend of mine he had been misinterpreted, i.e nothing in it.

I think the signing is Smallwood has raised expectations of signings way beyond our means. I think a couple out and a couple of probably loans including Dion I hope and probably a right back. And we have a team with a great chance of achieving this coming season

It would be nice to have the away and third kits released soon as well, seen as it's nearly 3 weeks until the start of the season, we always take so painfully long to release stuff like this, instead of just releasing it quicker.
I suspect they will be released soon with the away game at York close. York will be playing in dark red, or their chocolate cream striped away shirt, so we'll need a kit that doesn't clash.
Which in turn makes me think maybe a new signing in the away shirt release? If it hasn't been done already, maybe alongside Ridehalgh and Hendrie, who weren't in Murcia.

 

The guy I heard it from is still adamant Andy Caroll is on obviously that will depend on his fitness test which he failed at Brugge FC.

 

Not sure he failed a fitness test I think they decided not to pursue it
