I think one season wonder really needs to be reserved for those that did for a season, then failed.

Not that those that have done it for a season and haven't yet had chance to replicate it.

Crawley could easily end up selling Telford in January, and for good money.

They did just that last year didn’t they?

Edit: just checked, Max Watters, 1 in 11 for Cardiff, 5 in 11 for MKD on loan

Exactly. If the analogy was to ring true no one would ever take a punt on a player having a standout season for fear of said player never having another one. Which is a very strange and defeatest logic.

    Do we need him?

Feels like he's been wanting to come here, so probably pretty likely, but I'm not sure he's as vital as he was last season

May not be as vital but he'd certainly be a very useful addition to the squad

Crawley will absolutely be a rival this season. Leaving aside all the weird stuff, the wagmi model is to achieve promotion is very straightfoward and it's to outspend everyone else and they were talking about a playing budget of £3.3m for this season.

I think he’s better than most out AMs barring maybe Chapman and Walker. I think he’d start on the right for us with Chapman left and Walker central.
Vernam, Walker and Pereira were brilliant together in the last few games of last season and arguably looked a cut above.

I don't think I've ever seen Chapman play, but I hope you're right about him being as good as Pereira/Walker

Need is one thing, desirable of course he is. Who would play right sided if not?
A three of Chapman -Walker- Dion would look tasty against certain teams.

Here’s the article in full, which to me is saying to Luton fans…These lads are going out on loan!

Luton manager Nathan Jones may look to loan out young trio Dion Pereira, Elliot Thorpe and Josh Neufville if he feels it will further benefit their development.

Pereira, 23, who joined Town in November 2020, has made two senior appearances for the Hatters, finishing last term on loan with League Two Bradford City, impressing the Bantams fans during his 10 outings, netting one goal too.

Neufville, 21, rejoined National League side Yeovil Town in March for a second spell once he had recovered from a long term ankle injury, going on to score once in 11 games.

Thorpe, 21, snapped up after his release from Tottenham Hotspur in September 2021, has played once for Luton in the FA Cup, while also being named in a handful of match-day squads too.

He featured for Wales U21 over the summer, but with Jones looking to add five more players to his side ahead of the season starting next month, it might be that the trio head out to make room for the incomings.

Speaking yesterday, the boss said: “We’ve got a lot of young players here, we’re really establishing the football club and with Paul Hart’s appointment in the academy, the U23 group is now stronger.

“That will filter all the way through the age groups, there’s a clear way of thinking now with the academy, it's aligned with what we do, and it’s strengthened all that.

“By doing that we can afford to one, keep young players in the building and not necessarily let them go out on loan, but there’s some at the point that they may need to.

“Dion Pereira may need a loan, Elliot Thorpe may need a loan, Josh Neufville, we’ve had a lot of interest in him, but if they don’t go out then they’ll be in and around our group and get game time in the 23s as well.

“So we’re in a real good position at the minute and we want to continue to get better.”

One of them is registered blind as well if he has his dog with him, so could hardly spot a good player

There seems to be a few that are looking to push the boat out let's hope we don't need to overstretch ourselves to keep up

If we are bringing in a loan then if available would much prefer Jack Diamond than Dion Pereira, The attraction pf him playing under Hughes could tip the balance in our favour
