Have to agree. I saw more in us when Angol came on than I did from Cook. Angol is more mobile, clever in his positioning and makes the opposition think. Cook seems to have lost all that from his game. He looks lost and clueless as to what is around him.

I don’t want Angol to start next game purely as I’d like to see him finish the season and consider whether he’s worth risking another contract offer. Based on when he’s played this season, I’d say he is (fitness the big risk) and perhaps it’s time for Cook to move on.....

 

First game I’ve been to this season, thought we played shite first half, improved second half and actually played some football.

Our distribution is awful, lost count of the amount of time we just smashed the ball out of play or gave it away to Northampton while under no pressure.

Not a huge fan of the constant passing it back either.
Shame we couldn’t have stole it with that late chance but all in all, a point was probably fair.

I think I mentioned on todays performance, but if you want to omit it, fair enough. Doesn’t escape the fact they were poor.

 

I like Angol and his injury record is a real shame, but all said and done if he wasn't as injury prone then he wouldn't be in L2. If we could somehow conjure up a deal that reflects his fragile state injury wise and we aren't going to use him to death causing the inevitable injury then I would like to give him another chance next season, because when fit ability wise he's right up there at this level.

Raynor made a good point earlier. Given he's got a year's worth of experience with our fitness team, might he have a better chance of staying fit with us than jumping shipnto another place? Thought there was some merit in it. Risk though, his average wage per game this season has probably been high compared to others in the squad.

I didn’t think they were a good team, once again they had pace we didn’t. They also have a problem scoring. I would be surprised if they go up.

We were awful in the first half rushed decision making, and the constant passing back all speak of a team without confidence. Second half they looked much better as we got rid of sorry substituted the hapless Evans. Finished quite strongly. It was worse last week.

I think we need a proper medical assessment of players who have had considerable injury time off. Angol is a good player but not if he is injured. Dion continues to impress.

We move on to finish this season. A joy listening to Duxbury, what you wouldn’t give for a midfielder like him. In Hughes we trust.
