Well after the latest poor performance in this god awful season, its a great comfort to me that the stadium looks tidier.

Oh, and Stefan will be well over this defeat by Monday, thankfully. I'd hate to think our awful on field performances might weigh heavily on his mind.

The fact we even have league 2 history under Rupp considering where he bought us is criminal enough, the fact we have so many losses just makes me despair.

It's strange that. Rupp speaks to Parker via the media. Not to the fans directly.

So is Rupp a keyboard warrior?

    What's good for the goose...

A term that @wetherbywhaler@wetherbywhaler used on here not long ago, which to his credit he later admitted it was a mistake to do.

Reason I mention it is that’s the second time by two different people high up at the club/well linked at the club that have used this term in the face of genuine worry and criticism from paying customers/fans.

It’s worrying that this maybe a term regularly used by people high up at the club, instead of taking it as constructive criticism and taking it with humility and trying to improve is there a culture at the club of we’re doing great and those yokel fans don’t have a clue?

Very head in sand and it makes me worry how we’re going to stop this year on year regression with attitudes like that at the top.

Calling people Keyboard Warriors is such a cop out, especially when you're the most invisible owner ever.

I don't doubt that some fans get personal and go overboard , but the main are rational and have valid concerns.

If Rupp had to witness week in week out the shat we've had to endure over his tenure his take might be different.

Keyboard warriors aren't the reason that this club has dramatically regressed within the current owners tenure.

I'm not sure what level of criticism resonates towards the club but as we have seen throughout the tenure of Rupp, an inability /unwillingness to be vocal at the club by its paying customers. Even in the Rahic days so many sat on their hands. Instead, fans walk and stop coming throughout a particular season. Some of those buy ST the following season and we still get numbers. But those numbers have decreased by c1/3 under Rupp's tenure.

    I feel it is contempt.

Exactly. Obviously there are times when there is an overreaction to what is happening and maybe the language used is not the best, however it is out of genuine worry and concerns about the direction of travel. If fans are worried, maybe the board and Rupp need to think about their communication to the fans. We have considerable information lobbed at us via social media about events and merchandise we might like to buy but the really important stuff we get very little. We have had more info from MH than the board in the last few weeks. I do realise we can’t say how much the budget will be or what percentage will be spent on behind scenes expenditure it is business sensitive, but a broad plan of how we might be able to achieve our goals might calm the fans nerves. Plus acknowledgement of where we have gone wrong might also be helpful.
It is not just a question of finding the right management team, it also requires a structure to back it up. Fantastic appointment of our new manager now go further and invest and build this club, who knows where we might end up. If we carry on as we have been and don’t properly invest let this season be a reminder.
I want to be promoted next season, but as long as I see our club going in the right direction I will be reasonably happy, and flirting with the drop zone is not my idea of happiness.

I think one of the most frustrating thing for a lot of us is SR has not once shown interest in leading the drive to help get us out of this mess we find ourselves in during his tenure, now I'm not suggesting he dumps his load into the club or anything but if his reported wealth is true then just a tiny percentage would go miles in L2 if used correctly, the only saving grace regarding this is if he had done it recently it would of been blasted off on poor players from anyone of our recent failed managers, but if there was ever a time to do it then now would perfect. The blind hope I'm clinging onto is he will come up with the goods MH will need but not shouting out as public knowledge as this could potentially put targets prices or players demands up, clutching a straw I know.

It's like running a store that's making a loss, and when someone challenges you on your failing business, getting annoyed and pointing out you have lovely displays in your windows.

It's not really a defence, it's more just avoiding the issues because one day the idiot public will realise how lovely your displays really are, and you'll start making money hand over fist, success will come because after all, YOU'RE ALREADY DOING ALL THE RIGHT THINGS.

So when someone says actually you're losing money because you've not hired enough quality, knowledgeable staff to help the customer and keep your stock in tip top condition, you sneer, because actually that would cost MORE money, and how can that be the route to success?

'Look at those lovely displays', you repeat, and you know you're going to turn the corner soon.

Meanwhile, on aisle 3, your customer can't work out what item they need, and with no expertise in sight, they end up leaving empty handed.

'What a twit', you think, ' are these customers stupid? LOOK AT MY DISPLAY'

Let’s just hope that his time over here was put to get use aka Hughes spelling out what he needs and the board going all out to back him up ............ sod another season of bragging about shiny new seats and pictures of sponsors............ a decent side will make attracting sponsors a much easier thing to do ............next season is massive now they have got away with another failed campaign on the back of bringing Hughes now it’s the time to concentrate fully on getting us out of this mess.............if Wrexham do come up then this league will be a lot harder to get out of because I fancy them and Stockport to be up there next season

The way he spoke it sounded to me like he felt he had done his bit certainly through the pandemic, quoting we are in a strong position financially. were as other clubs are struggling financially.

Stockport and Chesterfield gambling on promotion to the Football League, not sure if it doesn't happen how long their owners can keep covering the cost.

Well we don't gamble and let the likes of Harrogate over take us.

They're not gambling anything as their owners are backing their clubs unlike our failure of an owner.

I'm interested to know what Salford have lost and are losing if anyone can provide the info?

Those figures at Chesterfield and Stockport are stupid, presumably there's a significant drop in income from L2 to NLP, but even so...
