I thought I was the only one who thought the same.I cringe when the ball is at their feet. I wish I had the time to do a compilation of Paudie’s passing in the last 5 games. I just cannot be bothered, but today was another classic series of calamity.

Paudies defending for their second is laughable. He’s useless. Get rid.

 

I have not for the faint hearted. I thought the crowd was noisy and wanted their team to win…. What is wrong with that? It is not hostile; hostile is Burnley on Saturday afternoon ripping the wooden seats up and lobbing them at City fans.

 

Well the positive from this is that Hughes knows to the true extent how big of a clear out is needed in the summer. Fortunately for us, We aren’t in danger of getting relegated an most players are out of contact in the summer

A good team is built from the back. If the defence is piss poor then the rest of the team hasn’t got much chance. We had half a chance of looking like a decent team when Canavan was here and on decent form, but ever since then, we’ve been a shambles

We need to rebuild that defence completely. Hendrie an Foulds may prove to be decent players when playing alongside a decent centre back pairing but at the moment, The back 5 look as bad as each other

 

From what I've heard from Hughes I don't see a reason why it's not true, he comes across as a genuine guy unlike Mr Adams who blamed everyone and his dog.

 

And hopefully Hughes takes full control of recruitment in the summer. This squad is so lob sided its untrue

Considering we are missing an out an out CDM, it is a great wonder as to what good Threlkeld ever was. Seeing as that is his natural position

5 Strikers that are all useless in different ways:
• Robison runs around like a headless chicken. • Lavery gets a nosebleed when he plays for more than 35 minutes at a time
• Elliot apparently happens to be good with his head, but I suppose we’l never know as the few times he played, we forgot as a team how to cross
• Delfonseo only looks like footballer when the ball is given to feet, besides that he doesn’t bother
• An Cook looks like he’s been on a bender since Christmas

Fair analysis based on what I watched on iFollow (apart from the bizarre ‘hostile’ question??!).

Beaten by a better team who tactically out thought and played us.

In a strange way perhaps a performance Hughes needed to see from some players at the time contracts and next season is becoming a main priority.

I’m really interested to see how Hughes decides to primarily set us up next season as I’m not convinced the current formation works.

Nothing to get too upset by. Never like to lose. Never like to see weak performances but there’s more at play than the rest of this season.

Disappointed for Sutton has a hernia.

We could have had the last 8 games of winning and some con there way into a new deal........ least Hughes is seeing that this lot are poor in fact he’s probably know for a good month and I bet the majority of the out of contract players know that ............ so just put up with more of the same over the next few weeks and rather than having a hissy fit just look at the bigger picture and realise after the Carlisle game you won’t have to watch some of these wage stealers again

Agreed, been there, got the video, T-shirt……blah, blah. Optimism is one’s friend, thinking otherwise is a waste of energy.

 

Exactly this season is gone mostly thanks to Derek Adams and his ego he has royally worked us over the worst manager I have known and to think some on here wanted to give him more time !!!
From now on in it's all about putting a team out results really don't matter
MH wants to see if they are worth a contract for next season hopefully he has gathered none are worth it and should be spending his time looking for a complete new side for next season groundhog day again
The biggest worry is if he will be allowed to do so

 

He probably knows already whose worth keeping and who he wants rid off ........ for a start all 5 strikers who don’t get goals will be gone .................this pre season really is massive the recruitment must be right ..... the CEO and the owner have got away with it by getting Hughes in ........... all focus should be on giving him the BIGGEST budget to get out of this league ..........

 

Hes a liability. Cant fault his effort or commitment, but he's positionally poor and he's a disaster in possession.

Hughes touched on a wider point after the game where he talked about sometimes needing to put your foot through the ball. We're learning a new style with players who weren't bought to fit that style. Its no surprise that we're far from having perfected it.

Let's be honest, this club is a train wreck so we have to hope that Hughes gets us going forward again on his own.
