Missed first 15 or so but what I’ve heard so far

    - Greg Abbott said we have to get this appointment rifht and we need a manager who understands the club and what it means to get Bradford city fans behind the team. Take our time with whoever we pick and get anyone applications in and then speak to them in an interview and find out what makes them tick etc he spoke really well did lean towards something about a lot of discontent from within the club so not sure if he’s heard soemthing from players? As I know he’s quite close to them

    - Mckowen might be spelt wrong, who’s from width of post said we need to take our time and pick the right man and not rush it

    - Gary Jones on now said not a surprise adams went results and performance and post match interviews were baffling from Adams. However For him he should have got a little bit more time. Maybe and surprised he got sacked so soon into the job on a 3 year deal. Said it’s a tough job and the expectation of the club from the fans can be too much for some to cope. Same as Abbott now really he said the manager who comes in has to get what the club is about and what it means to play for City. Some managers and players just can’t do it and fail.
He got asked about Allardyce or Hodgson not sure why and replied to say he thinks Flynn would be good but not sure he’s got the Walsall job today.

    They read out my text.

Supporters can put up with dull negative football if the team wins. It was a terrible watch and the crowds were dwindling. Season ticket renewal due soon, so I am not surprised. One of the worst things was how he threw players including youngsters like Finn Cousin-Dawson under the bus publicly for making a mistake.

Grant McCann Would be great as the new manager and has all the qualities we need to build the club up again, Not sure he would come or that we are ambitious enough to ask but he would be the man for us

He will do for me. I like the younger up and coming manager who has something to prove. He was doing well at Hull tbh.

Whoever we appoint Sparks needs to make it clear from the start that this is a long term plan and that we won't be sacking this manager if we are midtable this time next year. Right now Sparks just seems capricious and likely to change his mind whenever the popular mood swings one way or the other. If he's serious about long term planning, he has to commit and stick to it.

I remember Sparks saying he was hoping that Trueman would be our next manager after appointing Adams last summer. I suspect he didn't envisage he would be looking to appoint another manager so soon.

Question is then, is it too soon to hand the reins back to Trueman, if so, what happens to Trueman if a new manager wants to bring in his own assistant, will Sparks insist that Trueman stays as assistant.

Although not my first choice, I have a feeling Trueman will be appointed permanent manager in the coming weeks

    Yep agreed.

I think he feels like he still owes Trueman from last year, and perhaps from that "dismissal" he is still earning a wage that would probably be above the pay grade for what he has reverted to and probably way above what he'd go back to if a new man came in with his own team.

I'm not sure where I stand with it if I'm honest. Did well initially last year but fell off a cliff at the end but that was hardly surprising given the players were on the beach from March.

If pushed, it wouldn't be my first choice but Could it be any worse than the last few appointments have gone

A lot on here were hoping for Wellans last summer. I've not read of any interest from any fans this time around. He is of course available after his sacking at Donny, maybe in the reckoning?

Agreed. I'm surprised how 'meh' the reaction is to him. He's easily the most qualified candidate. Even McAnthony cites him as the one manager he regrets sacking. And he's sacked a few!!

Interesting analysis from a Hull City fan to a Sunderland fanbase

I never rated him that highly.

His Swindon promotion needs to be very heavily caveated as they didn't complete the season, i.e. if it had been 2008/9 Stuart would have led us to the play-offs, just a point behind automatic in 3rd. Also, Swindon pushed the boat to such an irresponsible level, it cost them last season - where they nearly went to the wall.

Comes across as another who thinks he's wonderful. So no thanks for me.
