@Bigrod - further to your NZ Taylor’s story. A few years ago my mum and sister came out here to visit, we went down to Franklin (just south of Nashville) for a look round the old civil war stuff and a walk down Main Street. Went into a bar and they had bottles of Old Peculier! Couldn’t believe it, never seen it in TN since. Glad I got a couple.

 

I think a Landlord would be appropriate!

Big match today...RCB vs. Canada. Canada has the early lead, but dogged determination will see RCB enjoy a stirring come-from-behind victory. That and glasses of revivifying cognac as needed, and perhaps a Landlord to celebrate when the match has been won.

In other words, they forecast a major winter storm overnight, and Canada delivered. Arose this morning to roughly 2 feet of snow at the house end of my driveway, 1-1.5 feet at the pavement end, with more coming down. And it is a double-wide driveway, triple-wide at the pavement end, fitting 5 cars at minimum. (Previous owners used the house as their business address.) There is a car-shaped mound where my car used to be...

One session done, another two, perhaps three, to go. I shall be exceedingly rude to anyone who makes comments about the beauty of a snow-covered landscape, or winter wonderlands, or the like!

You can be rude to me if want. 2 weeks ago we got about 7" here, lasted 2 days and you'd have thought Armageddon was here. Fast forward to yesterday, repeat forecast but so far only an inch or so. Looks like we dodged one.
I think normal season average for snow down here is about 4". Don't envy you up there at all.

 

And over here in Estonia, it's -15 one day, and +3 the next. You can only imagine what that leaves the state of the pavements. Ice skates are needed, not boots! Last week, 68% of all hospital admissions in Tallinn were due to people falling on the ice. It's a much safer to just stay at home and sit it out (with a few beers)!
