    Things we need to improve

    Getting clean sheets
    Scoring goals

Things that aren't going to improve that

Selling technically gifted and creative players like Cooke and Watt
Playing more utility players in our back line

    Worst possible outcome

    Sell Cook

I would have Sutton in the team before Cooke

    None can be trusted.

Adams is failing at Bradford City that is clear.
    Rupp doesn’t give a shite
Sparks is out of his depth and to weak to handle Rupp & Adams.

Well we are a day away from a transfer window and only 7 points above the relegation zone so no matter who you do or don’t trust the manager needs backing through the window, or we could get dragged into a relegation battle then it’s bye bye club. We aren’t going up this season, so it’s time to see if Adams can pull it around before the end of the season and if not then consider his future. As for the other two good luck getting them out.

Why are you even comparing them? Both play completely different roles in different positions. Infact why would you even mention them together other than to say you would have them both in our starting line up?

We shouldn’t be getting dragged into a relegation battle. That’s unacceptable.

Adams was brought into take us up. Highlights how poor he has been as a manager.

Partly but when you bring in Lavary and Robinson as half your striker force and two of your key signings are from Scunthorpe who just stayed up, then those holding the purse strings also need to take a lot of blame. The players need to have a look at themselves as well.

    Brilliant.

Now if we can just find an effective formation that only plays one in midfield you might be on to something.

The thing that has been poor is our finishing. Chances taken = better points tally. Also = less frustration on this forum.

    If’s and buts.

Poor finishing due to poor quality on the pitch and poor management.

So why, earlier in the thread are you advocating our main chance creator leaving as potentially improving the team?

Surely if the above is really your viewpoint you should be backing Cooke to not only stay but get a recall into the first XI and use any money we have to find people that can finish off the chances he's creating?

In my head that makes perfect sense anyway.

I'll start by saying that I want Cooke to stay. BUT...and I have said this before...I just can't believe those stats. Does anyone here think he looks like a player creating chance after chance? I can only assume that when he gets near the box and bottles it, stops and then passes back to someone else to take a speculative shot from outside a crowded box, then that counts as a chance created. Or is it just me?

I assume therefore that you believe he has created 20+ more chances than any other player in league 1 and 2?

I agree with you to a degree it’s another bloated stat more so than assists. Yesterday Ronaldo got an assist for miss controlling the ball while going for a shot, and this stat is even more far fetched. I’m sure Cooke does create our best opportunities, if not considering the rest of the players in the squad then he should be looking at non league not league 1 but when you can do a 5 yard pass 40 yards out and your team mate balloons it into the stands then it does need taking with a pinch of salt.

That said he’s the only player we have that plays in behind the striker, if we had ambition we’d bring someone in to challenge him not straight up replace him with potentially worse.

Gaining ‘intelligence’ is a key asset in planning any campaign with military precision. Spies report that agent DA was overheard muttering, “We are dealing with other clubs and finances at the minute, which can always be slow. We need more conversations with clubs and agents. It is a short window, but we will certainly be adding to the squad.”

These are the stats I saw:

Eminently believable, and at a point earlier in the seasaon he was a significant number (possibly 20) of key passes ahead of the next closest rival when we were pulling teams apart but missing loads of chances, rather than just being turgid as we have in the most recent games (probably not coincidentally the games since Cooke has been dropped and Vernam injured), though he's almost certainly not still 20 ahead now, I think that poster was mistaken when they put that probably referencing earlier in the season. Certainly no-one has sourced that figure since
